You could open an account in 2 ways:

  1. Online Account Opening (Instant Paperless)

    eKYC and Aadhar integrated instant paperless account opening is available. This is the fastest way to open an account if you are eKYC compliant and you Aadhar linked with the correct phone number. Simply fill the online form and upload softcopy few documents requested. Your account is opened instantly.

  2. Request Account Opening Forms

    Call iTradeOnline customer service to request for paper account opening forms. The forms are couriered to you. You could fill these forms, sign them, attached required documents and send it to the address provided in the form.

Documents needed for account opening

Following documents are required to open the trading and demat account:

  1. AADHAR Card
  2. PAN Card
  3. Address Proof
  4. Latest Bank Statement with IFSC/MICR Code
  5. Canceled Cheque
  6. Passport Size Photo

Note that additional documents are required in case you would like to trade in derivatives segments.

It takes 24 hrs to open an account once the signed forms are received and all the documents are in correct order.

Account Closing

Trustline iTradeOnline offers 2-in-1 account (a trading and a demat account). If you don't need the accounts anymore, you could close them anytime.

iTradeOnline Accounts Closing Steps

Before you request the account closure, please settle all open positions in your trading account, sell or transfer all the holdings in your demat account and clear all dues with the broker. Once everything is clear, follow the below steps to close your account:

  1. Write a letter to the broker requesting account closure.
  2. Attach a self-attested copy of your ledger.
  3. Attach the left out DP Slips, if any.
  4. Sent it to the Trustline office or submit it to your nearest branch.
  5. Get the receipt from the broker if you are submitting this request at a branch.

Note:

  • The application is processed within 3 days of the form receipt.
  • The balance fund and demat holdings (if any) are transferred to the designated account mentioned in the account closer form.
  • The account closure intimation and final statement of the accounts for the fund and demat holdings are sent to the client through registered post.

Also Note:

  • The account cannot be closed online, through email or phone calls.
  • The physically signed application is required.
  • If there are multiple account holders on the account, each one has to sign on account closing form.

The follow-up for account closure is very important. If you do not get confirmation in 15 days, contact the customer support to check the status.

  3. Why does broker require a Power of Attorney (PoA) for the iTrade demat account?

    The PoA gives limited rights to the broker to withdraw shares from your trading account to settle the sell transaction in your linked trading account. Without PoA, the broker cannot withdraw the shares from your demat account and thus cannot complete the sell transaction.
