Refer a Friend to Zerodha - Process and Referral Benefits

Zerodha is the largest stockbroker in India offering flat-rate discount brokerage services to retail investors. Zerodha offers online trading at BSE, NSE, and MCX for free in equity delivery segment and for flat Rs 20 per executed order in Intraday and F&O segments.

Zerodha Referral Program

Zerodha customers earn 10% of the brokerage paid by anyone they refer to (from Jan 1st, 2020).

Zerodha cash-back program is the most generous referral problem by a stockbroker in India. If you are a Zerodha customer, simply refer a friend or family member on the console (Zerodha back-office). You just have to fill a simple form with 3 fields in it; Name, Email and Mobile Number.

Note:

• The new Zerodha referral program is applicable from Jan 1^st If you have referred customers before that, you are not eligible for referral earnings on those accounts.
• 60 days is the time limit to open the account for the person you referred to Zerodha. From the day you add the client via console, if the account is not opened within 60 days, it would not be counted under your referral.

Zerodha Referral Commission

Zerodha offers a 10% referral commission to its customers. If you refer a friend or family member to Zerodha, every time they pay brokerage, you earn 10% of the brokerage they paid to Zerodha.

Example:

If Vinay refers Atul and Atul pay brokerage of Rs 5000 to Zerodha, Vinay will earn Rs 500 referral bonus automatically.

Note:

• You should have at least 5 referrals.
• The minimum payout under this program has to be Rs 1000.
• The eligible payout amount should be withdrawn within 365 days from such date of eligibility, failing which the incentive lapses.
• Zerodha referral income is for life. As long as the customer you have referred is trading, you will keep getting the commission.
• There is no limit to the number of customers you could refer to Zerodha.
• Referral income is calculated only on the brokerage paid. It is not applicable to other charges i.e. demat debit transaction fee, demat AMC and taxes.
• In case the referred client's trading account is deactivated/closed for any reason at the time of requesting the withdrawal of the eligible incentive, no amount would be paid out.

Zerodha's referral commission policy started in January 2020. Before that, any referrals by Zerodha customer could only earn 300 Zerodha reward points for each client you refer to. These reward points could be used to subscribe to any paid or premium products of Zerodha.

Zerodha Referral Account Opening

If you are a Zerodha customer and would like to refer a friend:

1. Log in to https://console.zerodha.com/
2. Click on your User ID in the top right and then Rewards & Referrals.

    

   

    

3. Enter the Name, Email ID and Phone number of the person you want to refer. That' it.

    

   

    

4. Your friend will get an email with steps to open an online account with Zerodha.
5. Once the account is opened, the account is mapped under your ID and you will start earning Zerodha referral commission amount.

Note: Contact entered by you'll be valid for 60 days. If the consumer does not open an account in this period, the referred consumer won't be eligible to receive perks.

Zerodha Referral Earnings

Zerodha customers earn referrals when they refer friends or family members to open an account with Zerodha. Zerodha pays flat 10% of the brokerage as referral cash. Zerodha referral earnings are credited to the customer every month. The customer can with this cash once it reaches a threshold of Rs 1000 with a minimum of 5 referrals.
