Hi,

Do anyone know how will we get charged if we buy stocks for maximum margin, dont pay the rest of the amount for 1 or 2 months and then sell all the stocks after these 1 or 2 months?

Please share this information about all the demat accounts you know.

Thanks,
Joy

I have the same opinion as Mr.I.K.Desai regarding GEOJIT.

I wanted to transfer funds online and they suggested opening an account with FEDERAL BANK. after all the pain stakes i opened one with that bank. one fine day i required some cash, and tried to transfer funds from Geojit to bank account, but could not find such an option. on asking they said it was just one sided transfer!! from bank to geojit only. it took almost 5 days for me to get cash.
why the hell are they listing a bank which allows only one way fund transfer and recommending people to go for it???

Geojit offers the best trading platform, good customer support, reasonable brokerages.
After market Orders(AMO) or offline orders are routed to exchange at 10.00 Am in geojit platform.

I have my account with geojit from 1+ year. I have never faced any problem, as far as check is concerned, service is very good, brokerage is attractive. all questions are also answered, never got any problem with them. management is very good, polite and helpful.

For Flying Shadow,

It is after 10.30AM. I have tried in Geojit, the order is not routed to exchange immediately on market opening. My friend who has an account in Indiabulls told me that they sent AMOs after 10.30AM. I donot know reason for this. But if you are a long term investor and cannot use online platform during market hours it will be helpful. For others, it is of no use.

If Sharekhan sends the order at market opening, that is good. I have used platforms of Geojit, IDBI as well as IndiaInfo. My assessment about these brokers are:

Geojit customer care is excellent. Their toll-free number is answered. You get reply for your e-mails. Their browser based platform is slow. They offer 0.3 and 0.03% brokerage for direct clients (brokerages are negotiable with many brokerage houses). Demat AMC Payable. Minimum brokerage is Rs. 20/-

IDBI Paisabuilder, their streaming platform is average. Betterthan Geojit. You can call the customer care. So far they do good service. Their e-mail reply is very poor. Scrips available for intraday is very few. Demat AMC Payable.

IndiaInfoline: TTAdvance is good, not better. brokerages very less. Customer care very poor. Toll-free number never works, another customer care number if u call , you have to wait for 7-15 minutes, if u r on STD call, you will lose money here also. No reply to your mails. Some times you may get a replay after weeks saying that they will look into it. No demat AMC. No minimum brokerage

Please post what u know about brokers, let people assess them before opeing a/c with them

Hey PG ,
Thnx for replying....

But i need to ask u one thing. Is it 10.30 p.m or 10.30 a.m

Because if it after 10.30 a.m .. Then no point placing the order because most of the shares would go into lower or upper freeze. Instead of that we can place at 9.55 when market opens.

Well i called up India Infoline..they dont offer AFTER MARKET ORDERS. Well sharekhan routes the order immediately when the order is placed.

ARe u sure it is 10.30 a.m or is it 10.30 p.m(in the night)

After -hours order can be placed in Geojit browser based platform (BSE and NSE). However, these orders will be sent to exchange after 10:30 am, not at market opening.

AMO can be placed in idbipaisabuilder. But their AMO system is not working . When u check your AMO after market is open, your order shows rejected.

Indiainfoline's browser based platform offers AMO facility, I was told but not verified.

Networth offers AMO in browser based platform as per their website.

Indiabulls offers AMOs, it is routed to exchanges at 10:30 am, it works.

I recommended my colleague to open accnt with Geojit as they promised to charge 0.25% brokerage. After he opened the accnt, he bought shares of 2 companies and to his astonishment they have charged brokerage of 1.05%. They are cheaters, beware of them and don't fall in trap. Go for kotak Securities, it is awarded as the best broker for 2007.

I am having very bad experience of the Geojit Management. Actually there is no management at all.

I could not apply online the IPO of Mundra Port. They told me to entered into a separate agreement. I filled and paid Rs.50/- for Form. Eventhough they have made me falied and I missed and opportunity to apply.

Thye forced me to choose the Bank, The Federal Bank. The bank gave me FedNet, internet connection to transfer funds. But see, the bank transfers the money from my account to the account of Geojit at click of mouse. BUT WHEN I WANTED TO WITHDRAW MONEY THE BANK HAS NOT ALLOWED THE MONEY. I could not get the check also intime and ultimately I will get a big loss.

Please think twice to join such a Broker.
