Sub broker

Sub Brokers is a SEBI authorized person who works on behalf of trading member

A sub broker is a person who is appointed by a stock broker and acts on behalf of a Trading Member as an agent but he is not a Trading Member of a Stock Exchange. Sub-brokers are required to be registered with SEBI and the stock broker is responsible for all acts of commission of the authorized person.

SEBI has made it compulsory that no Trading Member shall deal with a person who is acting as a Sub-Broker unless he is registered with SEBI and also the Trading Member are responsible that his clients are not acting in the capacity of a Sub-Broker unless they are registered with SEBI as a Sub-Broker.
