Thank You Dear @Rahul Popat, Didnt knew then, that I could invest in NII category. Suppose that I could afford to invest Rs. 300000/- , what could have been my chances of allotment..?, and in cases like IRCTC which is hugely over-subscribed; what would have decided the allotment.
Kindly explain a bit.

Easy calculation
U apply amount divided by hni category subscription..that amount share u received...its too small....

For small investor its advisable apply only one lot

If u apply 3lakh and hni subscrption 300 times

U received 3000 rs share means its too less....

So better to apply only for one lot in over subscription and under subscription u can apply more lot....but under subscription share are....u know that why its under subscribe.

Always apply one lot only

I have a demat account in the sole name of my Grand daughter. SB Account is also opened in her sole name with father as her natural guardian with internet Banking facility. When we tried to apply IPO in her name, SBI did not permit blocking of application money (as SBI does not give transaction rights to minor accounts). Any one having practical knowledge of other Public sector Banks where they permit minor's IPO application and block the application money also?

Ask sbi to give transaction right otherwise apply IPO from your saving account using her demat account. All PSU banks support asba for other demat accounts.

Any well known broker who deals in unlisted shares.

There are many available online. But having some trust issue. If you found then let me know. I have get one but I am not sure should I deal with him or not.

Applied for IRCTC IPO, but could not get any allotment, Rs. 99200/- still in blocked phase by the bank (ANDHRA BANK). When can I expect the amount to get credited to my account, or Should I approach Banking Ombudsman for a Faster processing of my amount. Mailed both ALANKIT and ANDHRA bank regarding the same; ALANKIT did give a reponse saying that, they have already instructed the concerned banks and I may approach the BANK for further information. Kindly Suggest..

Then apply for more than 2 lakh so you can get shares in proportion of hni category.

You can buy now. You are eligible. Because in DRHP it stated RHP date is record date. After getting permission from sebi one company file RHP before making public issue.

any person eligible under share holder quota can apply in both category i.e. Retail as well as Share Holder Quota but total amount must be less than 2 lakh (max. limit for retailers). In this case two applications will be submitted separately from single account i.e. one for shareholder quota and other for retail quota.

Pls confirm eligibility criteria for shareholder quota.how much share of HDFC bank we must have for applying in shareholder quota

At least 1 hdfc bank share should be there by the cutoff date as per drhp. As drhp is not yet filed, cut off date is not known. But generally, Cutoff date is the drhp filing date. So if you are already having hdfc bank share, you should be eligible.

It all depends if the company fixes the record date after your purchase eg you purchase on 16/10 and record date is fixed say 17/10 you r eligible and if company declares record date 15/10 then you are not eligible for consideration

Ujjivan small finance bank IPO will be next good ipo. DRHP already filed. May get approval by November and IPO may be by year end or early next year.
