I was shocked and surprised to go through the mostly negative feed back of most the users of the various share trading web sites. I hereby give below two of my experiences which may help the concerned users an useful input
1) From 2004 to 2007 I was regularly trading on ICICIDIRECT trading site and had almost 90% troule free smooth trading experience. sometime the the brokerage and taxes levy become erratic and their written documtntation support for your tading and mutual fund subscription activities is very poor.
2) From 2007 June till now I am using HDFCSEC web site and to me, believe me all of you, service is superb on line, help line over phone, after trade details in soft copy and hard copy of settlement and contract notes, consolidated ledger etc is very systematic and self explanatory. The sale proceeds less brkj and taxes gets credited on time every time and similarly the delivery of shares to ur demat a/c is prompt on T+2 days. The broker commn is 0.5% and STT 0.165% and and ST is 0.06% approximately
