Out of 123 anchor investors, 99 are domestic mutual funds accounting for 71.12 per cent of the anchor book portion in the company’s IPO.
SBI Equity Hybrid Fund (9.22 per cent), ICICI Prudential Value Discovery Fund (3.91 per cent) and SBI Balanced Advantage Fund (3.64 per cent) have been allocated the largest part in the anchor book portion among mutual fund schemes. ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, Axis Mutual Fund, Kotak Mutual Fund are a few others that have been allocated shares in the anchor investor quota.

Among the foreign investors, BNP Investments LLC has been allocated 47.41 lakh shares (8 per cent) in the anchor book quota for Rs 449.99 crore. Norges Bank Investment Management has been allocated 23.7 lakh shares (4 per cent) and has invested Rs 224.99 crore. Government of Singapore has been allocated 15.98 lakh shares for Rs 151.67 crore while the Monetary Authority of Singapore has received 4.03 lakh shares for Rs 38.32 crore.

BNPs lot was picked up by SBI NPS HOLDINGS which is mostly long term as they say
it is scary for nps investors if they are forced into investing in govt diktat stocks like LIC which became the go to company after UTI 64 packed up to become UTI MF .

Now a days many mutual funds are indulging in misconduct by front running and putting money in risky IPO's. I think better option for mutual fund investors is to go for index funds like nifty to generate optimal returns. There is no need to do frequent buy sell etc.
Anyway, if you buy many mutual fund schemes and over diversify return unlikely to be higher than nifty index.

LIC will likely trade at a PE multiple of about 50 times over a medium term. 25 times on earnings and another 25 times on land bank etc.
Even at current price do not make case for investment.

Those who were overfed for years, ignoring the looming inflation, are suddenly asked to fast to death. The 'real' GDP growth must become history now.
Ther can't be a bigger proof of failure than the person incharge managing the 'supply side' inflation by raising rates twice in two months.

i took the details from a media post and read about sbi filling gap
just didnt remember that it was bnp ,

European and Singapore entities can hold long term or as strategic asset .. US fiis are exiting as they get a more realistic yield in dollar as Indian govt of Modi has bitten more than it can chew and economically we are back to the messy situation of UPA2 thanks to too many freebees and vote bank appeasement with constant currency depreciation.. some estimate it can reach 90s ie close to triple digit to the dollar but time will tell

An appeal to the Authorities concerned,
Pl consider buy back of LIC shares at Issue Price from the Original Allottees, in the
Retail / Policy holder and Employees Categories as a token of Good will.

Authorities got the money they were looking for quite sometime. Why will they return the loot?

Anchor lock-in period will end on which date? Please guide.

For LIC IPO anchor lock-in is for 30 days because of relaxation given by SEBI.
This 30 days is counted from date of allotment of share to all.
Date of Allotment: 12 May 2022.
Hence Lock-in till 12th June and Lock-in share will come to supply on 13th June 2022.

Most or their caring analysts aren't actually foreigners. They work for the firms based out of India. Good on them!

It's not bad or immoral at all to work for the foreigners though, unless one doesn't do what Mir Jafar or Raja Mann Singh from the history did to India.

FM should invite views from retail investors as to how they are feeling after getting LIC shock.

It is not LIC IPO... it's LIC short Karo aur paisa kamao contest....

ultrasnow, psus can be extremely profitable to trade in short to medium term , long term they only drain investors wealth .. only a few defence and monopoly are good stocks , but dont expect making wealth in long term as all the wealth goes to babus and netas

Till govt stops interference, Callous staff culture and overstaffing
ie complete 360* changes in LIC Happen it is destined to fall further... secondly govt subsidy has gone up 3 fold ie nrega loan waiver free power ration etc it is desperate for funds,it will only be pulled up when govt decides to dilute further . so it will not prop up LIC I have long history of investing in PSUs and LIC has just followed a similar pattern of GIC and NIACL and is constantly falling,

Let's take a vow to never invest in PSU.

Jetha Lalji, I never dabble in PSU scrips, invested here purely on fundamentals, looking at EV ratio and lic holdings in particular. But listing day changed my outlook. Govt could have handled this better, listing day support would have encouraged people to hold and even attracted fresh buying. Also govt tendency to use lic to bail out loss makers is a huge red flag
Only PSU stock I hold is IRCTC
