I saw on nse site that total shares with retailers having less than 2 lakh in value are around 13,30,00,000. And the buyback alloted for retailers is 60,00,000 shares. So considering the above information, acceptance ratio comes under 5%. Why is evryone saying that acceptance ratio for retailers would be between 30 to 70%?

Though 13.3 Cr shares are in the hands of retail investors, the assumption is most of them may not apply for buyback. As the left over from such retail investors will be spread over the remaining few, the buyback allotment for them will increase from 5% to 30-70% which is only an assumption.
