is anyone sure of this info promoters are not participating in this tender offer and therefore 22 lakh shares will be accepted out of 94 lakhs(approx) ( healthy 24% ER, 30-40% AR)
@aashish: yes it is confirmed whatever you said. Promoters will participate with very few shares so around 22 lakhs will be accepted from around 95 lakhs and acceptance ratio will be around 50%
@aashish: ER will be calculated as per total shares available not as per shares available minus promoters shares so it is less but final AR should be good here.
Aaashish ji, Lokes may excuse for my intervention to explain in another way. ER depends upon the number of shares held on the Record Date by the holders whereas AR depends upon the number of shares held on the Record Date and tendered for the buyback. As promoters are not likely to tender/ tendering insignificant number of shares for the buyback,AR will be naturally more in general category. This is my understanding. Thank you.
@KSRK: yes sir, you are right. i was just informing in short ;) :) you already explained it anyways in my other post, @aashish might have missed to check that.
Aaashish ji, If I am not wrong, you have wrongly arrived at the total number of shares held as approximately 94 lakhs ( I think after excluding the holdings of the promoters ).But you are taking in to account the total number of shares considered for the buyback i.e., approximately 22 lakhs( This includes the holdings of other than the small share holders ). That may be the possible reason for your arriving at 25% which is not in order. I have tried my best to explain. However, I welcome the readers, who can explain it in a better way, to elaborately explain what he misses. Thank you.
