Upstox charges Rs.18.5 (plus taxes/GST) PER SCRIP for SELL (delivery) transactions as DEMAT charges. This is way too exorbitant especially for small retail investors (and for those buying less-value stocks). Is there any other economical broker (depository participant) to avoid / minimize this loss/charge. Strangely the government doesn't seem to regulate such rip-off by these depository participants.
