I have been informed as “Kindly be informed that your application have been marked for core duplicate resolution by Income Tax Department (ITD), so we request you to kindly contact local Assessing Officer (AO) and surrender the additional PAN.”

Queries
1. Do I need to personally visit the AO?
2. I do not have any physical card of the additional PAN. The other PAN was inadvertently applied/issued BUT NOT used.
3. Can I email or do any process online for this?
4. What will happen after this is done?
5. I had actually submitted for surrender online itself, but no response was received.
