Hi TSO,
i am not clear about the charges for the Depository account (CDSL). Could you please provide an example with numerical figures?
Also, please clarify whether I will need a Depository account if I only go for Intraday trading?

Hi Sharmistha,
There are two charges for the depository account. 1) Annual maintenance Charge(AMC) and 2) Demat Transaction Charge(DTC).
1) AMC: Demat account AMC is free for the first year. From second year onwords, we charge Rs.300 plus GST. Please note AMC is free for trading account.
2) DTC: This is charged only on delivery sell side. Ex: If you sell ABC stock today with any quantity and any number of orders then you would be charged Rs.15 plus GST on selling ABC stock for today. Along with ABC if you sell xyz stock too then you would be charged Rs.30 for today. This means, Rs.15 plus GST is charged on each stock irrespective of orders or quality for a particular day.
