Yes the allotment process is changed now allotment is based on number of application if the issue is overwhelming supported. If u think the issue is oversubscribed then it is better to apply in single lot in multiple application in family Demat account

Now allotment rules have changed, no proportional allotment, in future don,t apply for big lots but apply for min lot.No of applicants should be more. I applied for 5 applications of 60 shares each and 2 out of 5 got 60 shares each. You r not lucky in the lottery as your application of 600 shares was also in the same category of 60 shares. Now be aware in future. This rule is for the issues which are good and subscription is good ie above 5-6 times oversubscribed in retail portion.
