@pinkyjain, I agree it is a good IPO but wonder what makes you so bullish on it. The pricing is definetely not on the lower side like VRL Logistics (which is a good contender for IPO of the year). Syngene is just captive to its parent

IPO from a reputed promoter (BIOCON) is in market after a long time. One should apply for one lot of 60 Shares only since allotment will be of max 60 shares by lottery as the applications may be around 2.00 lacs in retail.

arun, you mean to say we need to apply in for 60 shares only and not more like 120 or 180 shares. plz be specific.

Bipen, Syngene has retail quota of 70 lac shares . With Apple lot of 60 shares if 1.2 lac application are received it will consume entire retail quota . If only 1 lac application are made in retail every applicant will be allotted 60 shares and left over of 10 lac shares will be distributed in applicants of 2 lot and above. Since it is expected that heavy applications will be made in retail may be 2 to 3 lacs , so no of applying higher quantity . In previous IPO''s you will observe app 90% applications are made in one lot only.

i am new to IPOs. without using business jargon.plz tell me in what lot i should apply to get maximise chance to be allotted in Syngene. should it be 60 or 360 shares or 780 shares ?

SYNGENE WILL BE A GOOD ISSUE AFTER A LONG TIME. I THINK IT RELATES TO BIOCON GROUP(KIRAN MAZUMDAR SHAW). APPLY IN MAXIMUM NO. OF DEMAT ACCOUNTS. GMP WILL BE IMPROVED LATER.AT PRESENT IT IS ALMOST RS.100 PLUS.
