For example If xyz co. U sold 10 application in sub2 and ipo not oversubscribed So every valid application will get allotment Now on listing day if buyer make profit of 1000 rs And ur 1 application rejected by any cause U have to pay that 1000rs (which he supposed to get from ur application) Other 9 application profit/loss can be settled by ur trade value calculated

For people who blame registrar to not get IPO allotment and who doesn't understand how random allocation works.
I written a program to check if 10,000 applicants applies for IPOs and for each IPO selection ration is 1/5. So for each IPO 2000 people will be allotted shares.
After Applying in 10 IPOs : People with 0 allocation : 1070 (Means out of 10,000 people 1070 didn't get single allocation even after applying for 10 IPOs). People with all 10 allocation : 0 People with more than 5 allocation : 306
After Applying in 20 IPOs : People with 0 allocation : 125 People with all 20 allocation : 0 People with more than 5 allocation : 5
After Applying in 30 IPOs : People with 0 allocation : 5 People with all 30 allocation : 0 People with more than 15 allocation : 4
Note : As this calculation is based on random number selection. These figure also doesn't remain fixed. With every run of program these number changes.
I just wanted to show here that we think that registar might be doing something wrong because we haven't got any allotment in past 4-5 IPOs. But this result shows that there are genuine chances that people do not get IPO allotment even after applying for 20-30 IPOs.
Note : This program assumes all applications are valid. So technical rejection also not considered here. Which in real case may increase cancellation chances. Note : IPO allocation ratio kept 1/5, which in many IPO can increase up to 1/10-20. Note : This calculation is based on total applicant 10,000. So if Total applicant are 1,00,000 all numbers increase by 10 times. And there are pretty good chances are that you do not get IPO allotment.
