May be I'm Wrong in some points
But

Why I'm feeling ki.. those people who didn't received or got very less allotment. spreading negative sentiments abt HDFC AMC Listing . I don't know logic behind this. but as I know Chittorgarh is big forum and some of the members who got allotment may influence on the negative rumors spreading abt listing or people are comparing with ADAG group stock.
ADAG Group is largely damaged in 2008 Crash and then they never tried to bounce back as
ADAG Companies Governance issue. no doubt I was also a bullish on RelCap but Bad Time me sab stock k lag jaate hai . RPOWER was different business. 2008 ka Rally Crash Al was driven by FII this time is different people are more educated.

My View if u got multiple lots Say 3--4 then in sense book 2 on Listing Day and Remaining lots Hold for 2000 .. if 2000 comes then book 1 lot and then remaining lot Hold for long term with latest 52week low.

People also got 1 lot or 2 lot they can hold with some 1350--1400 stoploss .

HDFC is good governed group.. jab isme ADAG ya or companies type issue honge tab compare kro.. request.

Remember Reward is uncertain but Risk is the only thing which is in our Control..

Apne Apne Logic Risk Reward se Stoploss p HDFC AMC HOLD kro ..

...ek dinn ki to baat ...kak sab saaf ho jayega ...!

Out of curiosity, I was reading D-Mart IPO page on Chittorgarh itself. What i found was that exactly the same thing happened with D-Mart. I am not comparing it to D-Mart listing but there also many people were spreading negativity just a day before listing and comparing D-Mart as well to R Power, like it's being done here again with Hdfc Amc IPO. I mean why to create so much fear-mongering by small investors. We anyway can't take the listing to either of the direction, it is the QIBs, FIIs and the HNIs who decide the direction. As happened in the D-Mart, it might very well happen that here also these big institutions would corner the shares from retailers. No one can time the market. So just chillax, stick to your goals. If you think you made good money then get out. If you have the conviction to hold then stay. Leave everything else to god. Remember both the companies have same quality of management, cash generation (and in case of Hdfc w/o significant additional capex), Promoters name, strong leadership in their respective segments and more n more technical terms, etc etc. Let's just wait for another 16 hrs. Hey guys need your help regarding entry level. What should be the entry level for those who has missed the bus in allotment?

depending on risk you want ro take, 1400 is gold ( we may never get) anything above 1650 will be riskey. It may go upto 2000 intraday or in few days...now its upto you how much risk you want to take.If you want to take riks buy 50 % in preopen and rest 25% and 25 % later after few days, holding peroid should be 10 years ( with yearly review of AMC biz)

I applied for 169 shares and got only 13.

I never get allotment when Karvy is Register.
In this IPO, also got nil allotment though I applied through 4 demat accounts of my family members.
I get allotment when registrar is different.
It can't be bad luck every time in good IPOs.
Karvy was banned in past also for fraud in IPO allotment.
Retail investors have no access to the allotment process to prove any allegation. Even if complaint is made to SEBI, simple reply will be that it happened due to oversubscription.
I strongly feel that SEBI should depute its software experts during finalization of allotment, specifically in hugely subscribed IPOs to ensure fair allotment process because a small software command can change the whole allotment process.

Same thing happened with me linkintime never alloted me any ipo since last 3 years

i have applied two lots and got one..nothing such issue with karvy or any other . no one can predict who will get when ratio is 1/4 or more ...

From the HDFC groups past experiences the scrip move further up from the listing price and most of them proved to be a money multiplier, so those not successful in alottment also can buy from the secondary market & make gains in short time ..

Someone please guide on how to place order in Pre-open of an ipo? At What price should I place my order so that it gets sold asap?

Place order before 9.40 am, if you want to buy placed order at 1600 , place order at 1600 suppose listing is at 1560 then you will get share ..if listing is more then 1600 then you will not get share. Im not sure if market order works in pre open , so always place some price. If you want to sell then put price at 1400 then if listing will be at 1650 , shares will be sold at 1650..but if listing is at 1390 stocks will not be sold

HDFC AMC Allotment and Listing :- All eyes in the market are on listing of HDFC AMC on August 6,
Monday. It has got 6.73 times subscription in retail segment so allotment has been declared in ratio of 3.90.
It should be noted that Smart Investment had predicted allotment of 13 shares to one out of four applicants.
It is believed that the situation has taken place as 1.5 lakh applications have been rejected. When IPO
closed on Friday, many investors made a bid despite lack of enough balance in the bank account. On the
other hand, SBI, BOI, Central Bank, Canara Bank, Union Bank, United Bank, Kalupur Bank and Nutan
Nagrik Bank, ICICI unblocked funds despite holidays on Saturday. So the bids of investors who planned to
deposit money on Monday got rejected. Moreover, the bids of investors who didn't do any transactions in
last six months also got rejected.

better to buy below 1600 .so i think u shld place order b4 9.45 @ nearby 1600+-25 .
which looks little impossible but over tat price pls dont burn ur hand as there shld b sme risk for tat price .
my self vil going to buy 500sh 1600+-25 .
i think there vil b golden chance for long term investments as per the market sentiments.

फिर वैल्यूएशन में इतना Gap क्यों ?
HDFC AMC का शेयर अगर 600 रु ऊपर यानी 1700 रु पर लिस्ट भी हुआ तो 35 के P/E पर ट्रेड होगा
बॉस ये शेयर फट जायेगा
कोई फण्ड मैनेजर लिस्टिंग के बाद इस शेयर को नहीं छोड़ेगा
अगर ये 15 दिन में 2000 रु भी चला जाये तो Surprise नहीं होगा
