for this ipo it was 14 lots for hni...

when max. limit for retail crosses then HNI lots starts just 1 lot extra than max. retail lots....

HNI is not related to no. of lots, it is when total amount is more than 2 lakhs.
However if you still want no. Of lots, it vary from ipo to ipo, depending on share max price & min. numbers of shares in one lot.
In each ipo, multiply noof shares in lot * ipo share price, use resultant number to divide 200000, usually it is 13.x & rarely 14.x, number of lots to make hni is 14 & 15 lots respectively. I am sure you & everybody know this.

I predict not to cross 400x.

I have around 1cr in my accounts..i am planning to apply 70 + 30 from two accounts rather than 1cr from one account..cause i have exploited the daily online transfer limits of respective banks..should i go for this combination or try for rtgs of 30 to other account.

Unless something unexpected happen, I have just to choose one of the following two options :
1. 519 and 30 Lots in 2 HNI applications
2. 449 and 100 lots in 2 HNI applications.

+/- 1 lot to make it round :)

HNI who uses funding facility, for them they don’t take the decision today, they have to submit margin and interest money in advance to get the bookings for the fund. So today it might not go 400x+ But it will definitely go 300x+. This is what my thinking and analysis of the system and market is.

@ Avenue.. i joined my hand wd u in this above theory of yours.. Those who back off in fear will repend later on.. its a must apply ipo at a reasonable valuation.. will give gud listing gain.. There is nothing happens that bad that makes d market go down only.. not sure about paytm but market will bounce back by d time of its listing..
Funded hnis are scared becaz of horrible performance of paytm.. and that eventually a gud thing for self funded to get more lots..
I also want hni subscription to b remain at lower side.. Raising the hni subscription number from short term loan i considered it as bogus figures...

finally applied for 524 and 220 lots from two different accounts.

Applied 51 lots + 99 lots...

Applied for 130 lots with the available funds, hope I will get the allotment

@ current GMP of 300 and about 100x HNI, this seems to be a very interesting scenario for those who want to play the listing pop. Long term, for me, still remains questionable at this valuation and when you add the GMP....scary!

Those who went FF in Tarsons and can''t apply in Go Fashion, must be really hoping that they had held back for this chance created in Go Fashion by the debacle of Paytm!

@Lokes @Noorul and other HNI experts,
I have 170 lots amount capacity to dump in, Kindly advise to go all from 1 acc or split into 155lots & 15lots from two accs for better probability of allotment.

@ neolongus.. paytm seems to b a blessing for one like me.. first didn''t participated in paytm ipo and later paytm rewarded us by denting d subscription of lucrative ipo like Go fashion and may b few more in upcoming days..

@ Krishnaji : you can apply from 1 account only for all 171 lots or 169 lots without taking risk....15 lots will anyways be having very minimal chance but with 170 you will increase your sureity of 1 lot depending upon final subscription figures around 150-200X may be as of now.

With my funds being blocked in Tarsons, I decided to apply for 20 lots in this from my secondary account as the ratio is better than retail quota. Hopefully i get a lot.
My strategy is straightforward - Sell on listing.
Reason - Highly overpriced, can''t see any future prospects, objective:ofs is opposite and highly competitive market

Cautious play by HNI, wait and watch strategy applied till the last... I see around 50+ times and counting applns worth bid put in after 3 pm when major banks allow till 3 pm only.

@M.K: i have applied for 262 lots and its just a co-incidence that HNI also subscribed 262X :) Btw do you remember now our recent discussion regarding gocolours subscription, some troll etc ;) :) So in gocolors, my initial estimates came true of 250-300X which i informed in tarsons HNI page on 16th nov itself.

Tarsons 40-50% more than expected HNI subscription and GoColors 40-50% lower than expected. My applications in both are with about 70% probability 😂 T (129lots) and Go (183lots), So left with no confirm allotment in both 🥴

@Arya... You applied for 70lots (26% chance) and 37lots (14%). How can you expect 2 lots and that too atleast. You need to calculate allotment ratio by lots applied and not by shares.

People applying more than one application in HNI are from different PAN/demat.

@All HNI applicants you need to shed mentality of RII of lodging multiple applications. Because you are reducing your fhances by splitting amount. If you want to take chance just apply under Retail. Here try to combine all your sources so at least something comes. "A bird in hand is better than two in bush"
In starting last year I too started applying for 200 to 400 lots but never got even single allotment as all those issues went over that. So then I decided if share is good at least 1K+ application or no application in HNI. If I apply at least some thing must come back. So don''t split apply single application. To test your luck use other accounts for RII application. Like I got 1 lot in retail in Clean science & Paras. So it''s better to keep resources United. Good luck. Go fasion gone just 262 times do good allotment expected.

@MRV.. two simple reason for multiple HNI applications...

1. People maintaining many different family HNI accounts and do not wish to mix funds for taxation/legal POV and hence are more comfortable to apply separately.

2. A few HNIs are willing to take risk to divide funds in 2 or more HNI accounts for a sake of more allotment chances in lottery ( already explained earlier in detail)

Tough I agree single application is simple and safe options for HNIs.

@confusing markets Sometimes if u play strategically, splitting applications can be very beneficial and other times it just backfires. It''s all about your hunger and risk taking capacity. For example, I had split my application during Clean science and GR infra and i got lucky in both.

It makes sense to apply for a single HNi when you have enough for a sure shot single lot allotment. Eg. If HNI is 100X and if you can apply for 100+ lots, then go for it... But if you have say enough for 40 lots, then it might make sense to apply for 20+20 lots... You basically give yourself 2 chances. The odds are the same but if it clicks, you might get 2 lots. Apply in round numbers as explained by @lokes. In Latent I applied for 480 Lots and didn''t get any allotment and got one in retail. So, you either needs sufficient funds or else have to formulate a strategy to roll the dice.
For Go Fashion, I had decided that If it the HNI application went to 600X+ then I would make 2 HNI apps of 250 lots each.

After seeing listing of Latent it appears @Havefaith faith has really shaken and I feel if things remained same Tarson will get listed near @par and Go Color will be colourless too. HNI who were borrowing funds will learn a lesson of life "Chadar se Jyada per nahi pasarne chahiye

HNI Friends, There is no harm in learning things. If you have resources use them wisely. First time aI purchased Share of RIL (Convertible Debenture) in year 1979. I worked in Banks and Foreign Banks abroad, As VP & President in Merchant Banking FII now Practicing Law at Highest Courts. But even 42+ years I research and find material at relavent places and avoid if I feel there is slight Risk.
I feel you should never use HNI category on GMP bases or on basis of tumors.

@coldburger: if you talk about chance then even who applied for 14 lots have a chance to get 1 lot :)
Anyways 100 lots HNI application has good approx 40% chances of allotment here means 10 out of 26 will get 1 lot.

Till now HNI application strategy was simple to me, single application with max lots.

But now from experienced posts @lokes @ anikatiaf etc, I feel that making single hni application 1.5 times of hni subscr figure can fetch you 1.5 confirm lots, but making two odd lots hni application 75% of hni sub figure has very good chance of getting 2 lots. Let me know if somebody is trying in this way.

If u have the capacity to apply for 1.5x, then always apply for 1.5x from a single account and try in retail from the rest.

I shall again repeat : In Latent I got ZERO from 480 lots but got alloted 1 lot in Retail from 6 Retail applications.

It''s only when you don''t have enough for 1 confirmed lot, that you CAN split the applications for two rolls of the dice.

@samjos: its like taking some risk for converting your confirmed 1.5 lots to 2 lots which can become 1 lot too. With 75% chances and applying in odd lots, probably 1 lot you will surely be getting and if little lucky you can get in both applications.
@MK: since yours were 480 lots (below even 75%) and you stuck with others, who got more lucky than you in lottery, simple :)
In case of 2 similar applicants in more than 75% case, both will get 1 lot, in case of 3 applicants, 2 will get 1 lot.

In other words in BOA M.k was playing a handicap match.. 😢.. well i found this BOA process disgusting.. will present my views over it soon.

In Latent view BOA for HNI, there is no category between 5776(76 lots) and 11096(146 lots). Same between 12464 and 256728.
Anyone know the reason?
I applied for 8360 shares(110 lots) and there is no category for it. In which category was my application considered? or was my application wasn''t considered in lottery?

As we all discuss lot about Hni allotment and that BOA process and finally able to crack that complete theory of it.. now its time to put forward our honest opinion in this refrence.. As per my views i found that BOA process is complete Junkyard and totally unfair... Its looks it had deliberately design as a complicated one and more unfair when it could b made very simple and easy to understand..
Let''s take a real example of resent ipo Latent BOA.. where i alloted a one lot against 380 on other hand M.k who applied 480 got 00. How unfair that was.. even some said in this forum only that he got a lot against 160 or so.. no one could ever justify this process.. couldn''t they make it simple just like in marathon.. The one who run long will b awarded first.. its like someone who ran 400 meter didn''t get any thing and d one who just ran 100 meter had awarded heavily..

Allotment Process should b in descending order.. lets assume if hni subscription is 500x.. in such case the one who applied 500 should allotted .. than 499 than 498.. in case of tie both should b alloted.. The process should b continue like this till number of lots last. Just keep d process crystal clear and make it fair for everyone..

@noorul - I accept your point. Please allow me to put my opinion which is different. The objective is to distribute the available equity amongst as many bidders as possible. To achieve this objective the formula is to allot shares at 1:1 ratio to bidders who applied for more lots than overall oversubscription number and do a separate lottery for every lot below oversubscription number where ratio is less than 1:1. Just to put things in perspective there were two (2) bids for 99,000 lots in Latent View IPO. SEBI is also further tweaking NII allotment formula to achieve the objective of spreading the equities in as many hands as possible.

@Noorul. Every coin has two sides.. I don''t think that an application should be scrapped just because of the other applications with more lots. With your suggested allotment process, your application of 380 lots might get rejected straight away if there are enough applications with more lots.

However, in the current allotment process, there are cases where the smaller application is getting higher allotment ratio. Below samples are from Latent view BOA:
- 11172 has ratio 1:7
- 11248 has ratio 1:3
- 11476 has ratio 1:7

Here, the application with 11248 gets 33% allotment chances but application with 11476 shares has only 14% allotment chance.
IMHO, this is unfair. The bigger application allotment ratio must be equal or greater than the smaller application under all circumstances.

This problem will be solved to some extent and it will be helpful for smaller HNI''s if something like below rule will be implemented:

@shareshunterz: its simply being rounded off as per no. of co-applicants and as per actual % chance coming out with that lot size. Same 11248 would be converted to 0% too in case of single applicant (which was converted/increased to 33% in case of 3 applicants)

@Noorul - only one law so that your fair practice can''t be implemented is, "allotment be done in one or multiple of one lot", I.e. it can''t be 0.1 or 0.5 or 0.8 lots.
If fraction lot are allowed, then with 800x hni subscription, person applying 400 lots would get 0.5 lot (but in actual, 1 of 2 persons applying 400 lots will get 1 lot), & person applying 200 lots will get 0.25 lots (actually 1 of 4 gets 1 lot).

We tried your theory with 3 HNI applications in this IPO and it worked just like you said.

We applied one application in each of the three categories as suggested by you.
Below half NII Subscription - No allotment
Between half and full NII subscription - Got one lot
Over NII full Subscription - Got one lot and a few shares.
The 2nd option worked best as it was half the amount of the 3rd option.

But we can''t take it simply like this. As I informed previously, it''s all depends on number of co applicants with us applying similar number of lots. As per that only all calculation comes and rounding off happens around 0.5 . Only thing is what we can try to use odd number of lots while applying when we are above 50% category and use even number of lots when below 50% as per our estimates HNI subscription. After that, all depends on luck as we can''t come to know how many will be there along with for similar number of lots. I will give you the formula for this calculation later which you can add in your site in HNI lot calculator, for applying lots below subscription, now little busy somewhere.

@ harit.. off course u can get allotment if u hve applied under 50% of total subscription... But probability is much higher when u apply more than 50% of total sub.. This time consider urself lucky.. Remember when der is 1 % chance.. getting a allotment is still possible although chance is only 1%. After all its all about luck in end.. but these even n odd number application scheme dafinately pushing d chances of allotment n helps many members here in this forum..
About tega .. what to do in application.. i will give my views ones d gmp settled down.. n what other factors indicating like other ipo gmp, nbfc views etccc

@khus I am getting this at the price of 110 no broker is giving at 45-50 rupees, earlier it was 128 but due to market crash it''s trading at 108. Any authentic source for the price you are offering to buy? 45-50 looks too less. I approached multiple brokers but didn''t get at below 125.
