@Asoke sarkar Agree, its not easy to judge high/low for any stock to sell/buy, normally people get stuck on other side in these trades, so better to be safe then sorry.

Common man should not buy newly launched IPO shares for one month unless allotted. Let it settle then buy is cost seems right.
Go Fashion India: Nomura India Investment Fund bought 7.25 lakh shares at Rs 1,277.97 per share. Nomura Funds Ireland bought 2.75 lakh shares at Rs 1,277.97 per share.
IPO Open : December 7, 2021 IPO Close : December 9, 2021 Basis of Allotment : December 14, 2021 Initiation of Refunds: December 15, 2021 Credit of Shares : December 16, 2021 IPO Listing Date : December 17, 2021

How to place buy order in pre open? Is it that the order will get executed only when the buying limit set by buyer matches the equlibrium price? Does the order gets executed instantly or Is it that we will come to know about order execution after pre market session over? Can someone please guide..

When buying order >= equillibirum price, the order will be accepted. The bid limit order is allowed between 9.15 to 9.45. order will be executed at 9.50. No market order accepted, only limit orders.

@learner SK: Preopen time for ipo''s listing is from 9 to 9.45am(better to put order by 9.44am last). your buying order will get executed if its equal to or more than equilibrium/listing price and all orders will get executed at 9.45am exact. you can put buy limit order anytime from 9am to 9.44am at upper circuit price and then keep upgrading your order at newer upper circuit limit if upper circuit is getting revised till 9.44am to be sure of buying at any listing price. @snipperRaj: its Better not to give incorrect/incomplete information to someone, when we are not sure of something.
There is no equilibrium price . It is the price at which the number of matching bids is the highest which we may call in short as matching price.
Often this matching price is manipulated by the operators from where the entire game begins. An expert trader knows how to handle the situation. For any common man , differential biding is advisable. This can be done in two stages. Fisrt as explained by Lokesji. You may prepare a second set after the opening price is settled by going to ''normal basket bid '' and give its effect at right 10.00 as soon as change in price is seen. Whenever you give any bid in preopen ,it primarily means that you have an intension of trading. The quantity of delivery can be thought subsequently.

@lokes jee. Thank you for correcting and sharing correct info and increasing knowledge on it. Agree, incorrect/incomplete info shouldnt be shared. I somehow was under the impression, pre open ipo limit orders are taken from 9.15 till 9.45 and execute afterwards at 9.50. Thanks fr helping out everyone with your detailed , wise, knowlegable posts.

@Lokes- Pre-order can i enter any buying price? Example: Sigachi list on Bourse on 602. Preorder If i enter 650 for buying the share. The price is over and above equilibrium Price.. Whether shares allotted me on Pre-Order?
Be vary of pre - open orders... Those who did it in Sigachi are still trapped at 570 (although this was T group but the exit never came) , also didn''t work in the fancy latent view IPO..Pre-open rate was 510 and it was available at 475 at 1030 am, infact was available below 510 for most part of the day.. Similar happened in Nyka, Policy Bazar where shares were available cheaper than pre-open rate and went on to rock from the day low..In Devyani preopen buyers were trapped for atleast 2 months as 140 rate never happened, many exited with SL being triggerred... Its a fancy subject but mostly disastrous as explained above.... Interesting that Top contributors are asking this question :)
@ColdBurger Yes you can place a pre-open order on Zerodha. For IPO, make sure you place the order between 9:00 - 9:45 AM and keep updating your bid based on changing upper circuit. You can see the UC/LC price in market depth of share.
@ Allan Valid point Tomorrow putting buy bid at UC may back fire.

@csk: ya in pre-order you can enter any buy price as high as possible but can''t enter price above upper circuit limit at that time, and no matter how much price you put for buy, your order will be executed at listing price only (if your buy order price is above listing price). @coldburger: i am also having zerodha with me and it supports everything normally.
For selling in preopen at listing price, reverse thing can be done.
Add one more to the list of Pre-open trades going wrong....So this was bought at 1310 by pre-open buyers vs ppl who went to buy direct from the market got it newhere between 1210 to 1300....so much for pre-open frenzy!!

@CSK : thanks for your words :) Sigachi continuously going down after reaching high since it had run up too much, now circuit limit is 20% in that and its out of T2T segment so probably it will stabilize now. you can add in small quantities for medium/long term.
@CSK.. Odd lot theory has become so popular now... I feel now really odd numbers lot will become frequently used ones and 200, 300 lots application will become odd numbers :)
Dear lokes Jee, Sigachi Is Continue Down,Could not Understand the ReasonWhy It Is Falling more Than 11%, From 494 it Went 399 Buying @465 100 Shares. Please Suggest Sir Jee. Your Suggestion Increase The Confidence Level To Us For Any Company,We Not Entered Any Wrong Company. Thanks

@dharmendra: yesterday itself in tarsons page i advised you about it clearly to wait for 1-2 days or buy in small quantity only to average later as it was in LC yesterday, so it would be better if you could have waited yesterday for buying since it was in LC yesterday or added only small quantities yesterday, 100 is too much quantity as per me. Now if possible, you can average it with 50 more share around 380-400 levels and keep holding for long term. you should get your price back in 1-3 months if market doesn''t fall too much. I bought sigachi today only 20 shares at 410 rs and added 10 shares of latent view today at 660.
@lokes Ji I have 2 question regarding pre-open order. 1. if bidding price is 500 and stock got listed at 450. What happens to remaining money (500-450). Does it return back to wallet of trading account. 2 . What if bidding price is 500 and stock got listed at 550 . What happens to pre-order ? Will it be cancelled after 10AM or will it move to normal order and will be executed when price hit to 550?

@kalki: 1. ya money will get debit as per executed order means as per 450 rs, remaining amount will be there in demat account itself. 2. Order will be cancelled at 9.45am itself. Later you need to place new order as usual after 10am for any buy/sell.
@ kalki Q1) No debit. Only margin is required. Payment @ 450 required on t+2 Q2) Order will not be cancelled unless it is beyond the day limit with reference to the listing price. In this case order will mature if price comes to 500 within the day.
I beg differ with Lokesji

@asoke: ya debit means funds blocking etc only, its very basic thing of any share buy. And regarding order, mine ipo preopen sell order was cancelled in zerodha once, when didn''t executed in preopen. May be its different in buy side, need to verify once in further ipos. https://support.zerodha.com/category/trading-and-markets/kite-web-and-mobile/articles/what-are-the-trading-hours-for-a-stock-on-its-listing-day
