mrpatni(msg no.45). As per the e-mail received by me from Karvy regarding Religare, tentative date for Basis of allottment is 15 Nov and d-mat credits/refund will be on 16th Nov. Let us hope for the best. Karvy is good compared to those like Cameo.

sorry friends , my view below is for mundra ipo and not edelweiss
48. FLOURISH FP |   Link |  Bookmark | November 7, 2007 7:18:21 PM
those applying for maximum lot might get 16 shares in firm allotment,

chances of allotment are very less for this issue.so better
investing in kolte patil developers and upcoming reliance
power ipo

IS IT WORTH APPLYING IN THIS IPO
45. mrpatni |   Link |  Bookmark | November 7, 2007 12:45:19 PM
hey highlyspirited, Just imagine if Religare refund doesnt come by that date. I mean the refund comes on or after 20th nov and the refund of Mundra will be around 4th week. So the subcrition rate will even reduce and it will around say 12-15 times which is good for retailers. But in this i have made too much of asumption. I should not forget that Religare registrar is Karvy which is the best in its field. Lets hope the good thing!!!

Hi All

dont block your money in this ipo because in retail
only 24,00,000/- shares to be allotted. this would oversubscribe like Religare, so think 2wice before invest

Hello all you lovely people,
Very high priced issue. Also it is Rs 5 face value.Very high risk in applying.Market is undecided at this point in time.Chances of it going back to 18000 level is very high than it going up to even 21000 by march 2008.Do you know the impact of oil touching $100 a barrel. It has gone up from $63/bbl to $93 in 3 months.A jump of 48%.Sensex has gone up from 17 to 20000, a jump of less than 20%.That too artificially propped up by a handful of Relaince gp shares,SBI,ICICI Bank,L&T,ONGC etc.
Hold onto cash.Excellent buying opportunities will come your way in the secondary market. When the market crashes there is no bottom.Good stocks will also hit lower circuit.
Moral: Don't apply for highly priced IPOs like this.Keep cash ready.Be a contrarian to make money.

Mrpatni, you are absolutely right. If Mundra gets the same response as Power Grid got, it would be oversubscribed by 13 times in the Retail category. And if Edelweiss gets the same response as power Grid got, it would be oversubscribed by 28 times in the retial category.

Because Power Grid was an exceptional one, we can estimate a 10-12 times over subscription in retail for MUNDRA and 22-25 times for Edelweiss

i think we should go for this IPO. As the fundamentals are strong and the crisil rating are 4/5.

GMP for Edelweleiss tocuch to Rs.750/. So market lot is 8. SO definatly getting Min. Lot if retail subscription touches to 10 times which is Minimum expected due to small equity. So getting 8 shares for Max. Application. definatly getting Rs.5500 to Rs.6500 per Max. application. Huge return!!!!!

I think its good to apply in this ipo. People might not get the refunds of the big IPOs running currently by that time and hence subscription can be lower. Better to hold some money for this issue.
Also, some more biggies are on the way (Reliance, TATA, BGR energy)...
So, money is likely to remain busy for some more time in IPOs.
