New season of mainboard is starting, Following are few tips for newcomers. 1. Third party applications are ruled out. PAN from demat and bank must be same. 2. There is no problem in minor changes in name. Finalization of allotment is on the basis of PAN. 3. Prefer ASBA over UPI. It has no any special advantage during allotment but reduces chance of technical rejections. Benefit if is, UPI gives additional time to apply. 4. When issue is over subscribed, apply only for one lot in retail. In overubscribed IPO no one can get more than one lot. 5. Always apply at higher price band. 6. To increase chance of allotment open demat for all your family members. Guide them to handle. 7. When you are applying manually through the branch, do not use photocopy of application form. Each application must have different application number. Categories: 1. Individual investor can apply in categories namey RII and NII. 2. Allotment in both categories in done on the basis of lottery when issues oversubscribed. Method of allotment is different than SMEs. 2. NII have two sub categories. a) from 2L to 10L sHNI/ sNII b) above 10L bHNI/ bNII Here allotment is similar to retail. Both categories will get allotment of equal 2L rupees (generally 14 lots) c) Do not select cut off price in NII.
What happened to third party application allowed by some bank? Rejected as per new rule?

Though as per rule it is not allowed, many people reported allotment under the same. So take a call accordingly.

Myself also got third party allotment in past mainboard, but now we should more careful. Just few days ago Yes Bank deleted all registered applicants and asked investors re-register.
@Smile - As I alloted more than 15 main board IPO through SBI Net banking ASBA, does SEBI officially circulate anything that third party does not allow Anymore?
Please guide on this... I also applied more than 28 SME IPO third party but not alloted a single one.
Thanks for info. How allotment is done in SME IPO? Does applying with big money help?

SME, for retail allotment is similar as mainboards but for NII allotment is on proportional basis hence higher amount applications may get extra chance of allotment.

Though a profit making company, has kept only 10% quota for retail investors. I think, they are not sure about response from them.
@ipo share This 10% retail quota thing for ipo of a profitable company is discussed few times in this forum.I am mentioning again the same thing.

In this opposite to signature global . Here profit increases year on year and debt decreases simultaneously. In signature losses increase year on year and debt increases year on year .
