I have sent an email to both linkintime and SBI and raised a ticket. Let''s see what happens further. I don''t want my money stuck in bank account for too long in this bullish market.

My amount is also not refunded in my SBI account. Applied through phonepe. Where can i raise the ticket and complain?

Lucifer The fallen angel you can raise your complain by sending an email to the registrar of this IPO. Just check your e-mail you must have got mail from linkintime regarding the initiation of refund.bgo through that email and you will find investors grievance mail id.

Such unlucky people are furious against the registraror while you are enjoying. Somebody is raising question against the veracity . Your denial justifies his question.

Sebi should make ruling that 10 time oversubscribed ipo retailers should awarded 10% of ipo lot if 80 share lot then 8 shares every applicant confirm and if 20 time oversubscribed then 5% mean 4 shares everyone ...this ruling will finish linkintime ipo malpractice game forever if any....

Caution ipo very bad suggestion...it will kill small retailers who just apply 1 lot ..and everyone I also got first time 3/4. ... otherwise most of time I also got 0/4 and max to max 1/4 only

@cautious IPO It is not that bad a suggestion. However it will add the cost of the company going forward to manage so many shareholders
As many people may not bother to take money equal to say Rs 1000 left in a issue. In my trading days i used to leave the profit in the stock. Paid very well as a stock like Paushak which i left at Rs 500 (holding 10 shares) is now running at 8000 plus. Could never bother to place the sell order. On some counter also lost entire amount of profit too

@have faith: I have full faith in you, no need to prove anyone, people will not ask proof to whom who says 0/20 etc but don''t trust that who says 3/4 and then keep blaming registrar....
It shows their jealous nature that how others are getting and they are not getting and then keep complaining

Appreciate your thoughts ipo mitr...but these malpractice continued since 3 decades every related party benefiting so nothing happening after years of enquiry one registrar was banned thrice but again active by just changing names making sebi foool ???.. sebi advised to change name and continue ???

If I remember clearly in one of the recent forum, admin explained who does the allotment.

Registrar just prepares the list of applicants and gives it to the exchanges. It is the exchanges who allocates the shares in IPO.

1. We are not sure what wrongdoings you are pointing to in relation to Linkintime. Note that the registrar prepares the basis of the allotment file and submits it to exchange. The exchange draws the lottery. On paper, the allotment process seems transparent. They won''t get much by favoring few applicants here and there.

2. If you have any proof or substantial information about wrongdoings, please share it with us. We are in touch with directors and get your questions answered anytime. We can even put you on a call with them :)

3. But we all agree that systematic corruption is deep-rooted at every level not just in the government but also in most private organizations. It encourages people to do illegal things without even thinking about the implications. Note that it was a major reason behind Afghanistan''s recent collapse.

Why most (not all) of the allotment related complaints are with linkintime?

Do we have any formal public announcement where it is stated articulated explicitly that allotment is handled by exchange? Please share the same if someone has it.

If the allotment is done by exchange then result of allotment should also be given by exchange so that there is no chance of procedural corruption. Why registrar is announcing the result of allotment? Procedure should be such where registrar should not even come to know about who got allotment before every applicant knows allotment status.

I have no particular issue with linkintime only but basic process should be such that it doesn''t give anyone to raise fingers but even Chittorgarh forums are full of complaints about linkintime. I do understand that there will be people who will complain whenever they do not get allotment but no of complaints against linkintime are un-justifiably high.

Would like to add.....If exchange is doing the allotment then exchange should not get linkage between application no and PAN/AADHAR otherwise chances of corruption will shift to exchange. They should only get application no or some artificial key connected to each application but no details of applicant identity.

It is high time for government to publicly and formally state what is the process and how it prevents systemic corruption.

1.      First of all, we would like to clarify that we are not defending Linkintime or any other entity. The details posted are our views.

2.      Most complaints on our forum about the registrar are "not getting an allotment". If an IPO subscribed 30 times in retail by application, chances of getting 1 lot of 1/30. You can''t complain if you applied for 2 or 4 applications and didn''t receive the allotment. We don''t get these complaints when the issue subscribed < 1 time.

3.      Basis of Allotment document provides a clear picture of allocation. The allotment status page provides details if the application is rejected.

4.      The process for IPO is well defined by SEBI and followed by exchanges, LM, Registrars, Syndicate Banks, PR Agencies, and Issuer Companies. Please search for ''Public Issue'' in the circular section of the SEBI website for more details.

5.      Exchange IPO software application does most of the work. Registrar and LM get all the data from exchanges.

6.      We need at least one proof of wrongdoing to go and talk to them. We will be happy to take it forward if any member has it.

It is impossible for any individual investor to have a documentary evidence of proof as he/she has access to only to that information which is shared by registrar. Onus of ensuring that allotment "PROCESS IS NOT ONLY FAIR BUT ALSO PERCEIVED AS FAIR", lies with institutions which are responsible for allotment "NOT ON THE APPLICANTS". With this I rest my case. Hope I have clarified and communicated what I intended to and let us not make it an ongoing thread.

Other things i want to notice for you that, in email after complete allotment procedure, Kfintech mention reason for non allotment of shares where ever linkintime does not mention reason for non allotment of shares. So users can not get the exact reason why their application did not get allotment. Linkintime must mention reason in email whethere ipo not allotted due to reject their application or due to lottery bcz of over subscription.

If you are in touch with linkintime officials then please send my request them to mention reason for non allocation of ipo in email..

@IPO Mitr - I am not sure what complaints are you referring to. I have been filling IPOs for last 5 years, started with 1 application and now I fill multiple applications. At times, I don''t get even 1 lot in multiple applications. Inspite of that I don''t have any complaints to both registrars. yes, at times, unblocking amount takes time. But other wise, no complaint. if your complaint is not getting allotment, then either you must be doing something wrong in filling the application or too many applicants in that particular IPO.

I spent significant time yesterday and today searching on SEBI site as well as internet in general for a document which outlines which Institution actually runs the allotment process but could not locate one. Please share the link if someone has information about any such documents.

Most of the documents I could locate state that allotment should be done as per the guidelines issued by SEBI but none I could locate where it is mentioned who is responsible for executing the electronic process for allotment.

I have been applying in IPOs for last 35 years hence am aware what all I need to take care of in my applications to ensure there are no mistake from my side.

Even though chances of getting the allotment are very less like 1/30, I''ve seen a few people (no offense) are getting always allotment like, 2/6, 1/7, 2/10, no matter how many times the IPO is subscribed in retail. And people like me, who applies 7/8 applications every time, hardly get any allotment (1 allotment per year in popular IPOs). So that''s bit of frustrating. And if you call it "LUCK/Random", I wonder, why luck always choose the same set of people every time. I know there are people in my group, who mostly get at least 1/2 allotment in EVERY IPO out of 6/7 applications they are doing no matter retail subscription figures. I mean really, are they so lucky to get selected in every lottery??

And about, "we don''''t get these complaints when the issue subscribed < 1 time.", of course, they will give allotment to poor retailers, since they know there''s nothing to earn in such IPOs with few exceptions. But when it comes to good IPOs like IRCTC/Indigo where it''s going to give HEAVY listing gain, they hardly give anything to retailers except "few" who always get something.

I requested link in time to provide detailed basis of allotment for nii quota of TATVA CHINTON IPO many times but they are not providing.
Where as in past i requested karvy to provide detailed basis of allotment nii quota for hdfc amc ipo and happy mind ipo they provided it.
I lodged complaint against link in time in sebi regarding this .

I used to apply in 20 applications for the past many ipos where the subscription was more 20 times. These applications were of distinct demat and pan number. Atleast one of the account used to get the allotment and sometimes more than 1 account gets alloted.

However in ami org ipo, application wise subscription was just 11 times.. This was big surprise for me to not get even a single allotment out of 20.

This time when I read the comments posted on chittorgarh platform, this thing happened with many of us. Some guys posted 0/21, 0/27, 0/17....I seriously feel the allocation was not done properly this time atleast.

Vilification of any organisation without corroborated evidence does not help any gain.
Four years ago ,such vociferous allegation was raised against ''Karvy''. people in this forum used to say ''Karvy chor hai, nahi milega'' . At that time ,I went dry for some successive IPOs and began to think that the allegation may be somewhat correct. Now I am getting from both and far beyond the calculated probabilty and think that , that was a bad time for me and good for some others. Now ,it is turn for ''linkintime to bear the brunt of same allegation.
Now, I am more concerned of the decimation of my probabilty of getting in one hour from 2pm to 3pm . In this case, probability reduced from 0.6 to 0.1
In this connection, it requires mention that our system is so robust that it could digest the brunt of 45 times of this issue in the said period.
However, initiative if any for seeing through the veracity of the grievance is welcome.

Mr. IPO Mitr, you might have played Housy many times. I don''t think all the times or sometimes you were able to win full housy. Whom will you blame. I am not in favor of any Registrar. Many times I have not received allotment. Nobody knows the full procedure of allotment because it is most probably not available. When bidding is done our applications are not done at the same second. Throughout in India bidding is done. So there is gap in our application. Our applications are at different serial nos. Sometimes people get 3 out of 4 and sometimes 0 out any number.
Believe in luck also. Man proposes, God disposes. No doubt people are against some Registrars. All have right to doubt. I had also some doubt but from the same registrar I have received 2 out of 3 in heavy subscribed IPO.
Keep applying and don''t get frustrated.

The issue was oversubscribed say about 11 times (net, net) in retail.
So only 10000 people got shares out of 1 Lakh 10000 people....100000 applicants didn''t get. One''s gotta be lucky enough not to be among those 100000 guys.

Tatva was about 23x in retail, I somehow got that....however there have been issues subscribed only 6x, and i didn''t get them. Happens.....

1. Provide a reason for no allotment in the allotment notification email (as Karvy does).

2. Provide a detailed basis of allotment for NII quota on request (as Karvy does).

I have suggestions regarding email received from registrar as below :

(1) As per Kfintech mail, it shows status & describe reason for no allotment in it, but if possible then it should be like :

* Application Status : (Either application is successful in all steps or parameters for allotment lottery means accepted for allotment lottery or rejected from allotment lottery
* Allotment Status : (Either alloted no. of shares or if no allotment then it should be clearly mention reason of non allotment or if rejected then must be mentioned reason of rejection / non allotment

If this two points will mention in allotment mail by registrar then there will be no any confusion regarding allotment for any retail alpplicants

If email will show as per my given suggestions then all doubts of applicants which they blame on registrar will be reduced & it will more transparent

If they will describe this type of status of applications then applicants can get exact status of their applications and they can find who is responsible for their rejected / non alloted application (i.e. rectify error from bank / exchange / registrar)

IPO procedure several years ago involved assigning a dummy serial number for every logged in application, followed by shuffling all the applications with dummy numbers and draw of lots. Dummy serial number effectively avoided identification of any applicant. Assume this practice is still followed by offering the file with dummy numbers to stock exchange by the registrar. On selection of allotted dummy numbers, linked applications are allotted by the registrar.

Current system of allotment with applications logged in directly through syndicate members is fairly robust. Over the years, it is strengthened and monitored by stock exchange. With high oversubscription, chances of allotment remains equal for individual retail in highly oversubscribed issues. Those reporting 2/7, 3/8 ...so on are reporting allotments of several different applicants in their family & friends . It does not mean same 2 out of 7 or 3 out of 8 got each time. It can be different each time making each one''s frequency of allotment and luck not so repetitive. In an oversubscribed issue by 30 times applicationwide, all have ideally 1/30 chance. Those applying multiple applications here are only increasing their chances of allotment in different names, however, each applicant''s chance is still 1/30. So if the applicant family members were to report themselves about their allotment , then it would not be as frequent. Since it is reported here by one person for his friends & family , it appears as if the said person is getting allotment every time.

Jealous people keep blaming always.... instead of understanding it''s lottery system and in lottery it can easily be 0/20 when subscribed 11 times since each of these 20 application are independent for them and it can be 1/2 also.
I got 1/3 in 3 retail yes bank third party asba applications in ami organics, 2/4 in tatva chitan sbi third party retail applications, and 0/5 in many others ipo, by Linkintime....and similar way in IPOs by Karvy ...

Once You Apply for An IPO and once that is submitted to the exchange you getan sms and email from the exchange. And once allotment is done you get another email with full details like you got allotment or not from exchange only. So, blamming any register is not appropriate.

Suggestion, If you are happy with current system/process then keep your happiness with you. If you believe that I raised these points out of jealousy of shares allotment of INR 15000 then be happy for leaving that jealousy with me.

I am unhappy with the process and I have full right to express my dissatisfaction as so many other people in the forum have already done in the past numerous times. If you believe all of you so full of knowledge and persons who posted is so ignorant and a fool that he/she may not have even thought before posting then be happy with your thinking, I am absolutely fine with that.

Moreover, I have just re-iterated what others have mentioned numerous times about specific registrars. As far as I am concerned, my IPO activity is very small as compared to my overall stock market activity so I am fine with whatever X Y Z A B C (with respect to all) think about this issue. My only objective to raise this issue was to highlight big lacunas in the process which doesnt ensure fairness among small investors, with the thinking that collective voice in this direction probably would have become loud enough for someone to hear. If you all believe that "All is well" then I am also perfectly fine. So please chill and relax. I have no intention to issue any clarification in this regard and I have not wilified any individual or any institution (as some of our ALL KNOWLEDGABLE HONOURABLE stated) but just re-iterated what has been stated numerous times in this forum.

I am still awaiting link to the formal process outlined by our governing authority which says that allotment is done by exchange. Please share the same to enhance my knowledge, Keenly awaiting the same.

BTW, please note that I did not put even a single application in Ami Organics and I am absolutely happy and satisfied with my decision irrespective of WHATEVER HAPPENS AT LISTING. Best wishes for listing to everyone.

And they don''t understand what lottery is, and they don''t want to accept that your friends or others may get 1/7 or 2/7 etc most of the times and you may not get or may get very few times.....
