How to close Upstox trading account online?

You can close your Upstox trading account online by submitting an account closure request through the Upstox mobile app or website. Follow the steps below to close the account.

Steps to close Upstox trading account online:

1. Login to your Upstox account.
2. Click on your Name on the top left corner of the screen.
3. Go to the Profile section under the Account tab.
4. Click on View All option next to Account.
5. Click on the three lines at the top left corner to open the menu bar.
6. Look for Account Closure under the Account section.
7. Click on the "Close account" button. A confirmation page valid for 30 days will open with a link in it.
8. Click on the link that takes you to the account closure form.
9. Select the reason for closing your account.
10. Click on "Close Account".

It takes around 7-8 working days to close your Upstox account after request submission.

Before requesting account closure make sure that all outstanding dues, trade positions are cleared off and any holdings in your account are sold or transferred.
