To be under retail category, one can have 1000 shares on the record date for tendering for the buyback. If you are not looking for the buyback, I humbly submit that I am not in a position to suggest/ advise regarding the target price. Thank you.
@Jigar: for retail category, as u know it has to be under 2 lakhs and that amount (no of shares eligible for retail) is calculated based on share price on record date so KSRK is just mentioning as per assumption of 200 rs price (200*1000 = 2 lakh). Buyback price is 205 rs so on record date suppose price is 201 rs then you will not come under retail category if you buy 1000 shares but if price is touching 201 on record date itself then we can sell in market also. So taking all these assumptions/thinking, KSRK suggested for 1000 shares to buy max to be under retail category.
