@Vimal Garodia Should we transfer excess share (above 2 lakh) to family member before record date or can we later during buyback period before end date?
Though I am not an expert, I don’t hesitate to share what I know for the benefit of the interested community to understand n know about the subject. Suppose, the closing price of this share at the Stock Exchange, where the transactions are comparatively higher than the other exchanges on the Record Date, is Rs 3600/-. Rs. 200000/Rs.3600= 55.55 shares i.e., less than 56 shares. It means that those who are holding upto 55 shares will be considered under Retail Category. Hope it is clear. That’s the ruling position. I don’t remember the rule number. If you have patience to go through the previous buyback pages, you will get the ruling position. I believe that the above helps in better understanding what the Retail Category means.
I have a Query regarding TCS Buyback.
Which Date/Price of TCS will be taken to calculate to fall under Retail Category of less than 2 Lakhs.
Is it the Buy Back Price of 4150/= or the Share Price on the Record Date or price of some another Date??
Pls advise so as top calculate the No of Shares under the Retail Category??
Thanks in advance
