High gmp is used as advertisement by the BRLMs so that they can arrive a higher price band for the ipo. With large numbers of shares available for shareholders quota and retail quota, the gmp will decrease day by day... It's shouldn't be more than 100 .

Thanks Amit ji, thought so, I can see GMP of 70-80 once the IPO date is over.

I understand your concern,
However
Problem is within our system which allows GRAY MARKET to
Create,
DRHP,RHP, ANCHOR all practices
Consuming time days,hours
And these punters use it to create so called market.
Though all formalities are necessary and that's why govt.or sebi can't stop it
Sebi has taken so many steps to reduce it,still taking
Corporate needs retailer s money
So
Solution?As I see,
We should formalise and channelize this market
If we can do F&O,FUTURE TRADE,PREOPEN than why can't trade future premium of listing shares?
One other thing
We are happy to earn in gray market
Without knowing that wa are generating Hugh BLACK MONEY bcoz all transactions are in cash,and those HNIs who have not enough white money or dp accounts are using this market.
Which it self a problem.

As I'm a newcomer, I've another question popped up in my mind. How these people deal with GMP before actually even allotment is done? I mean, say If I'm going to do 4 applications, and approximately I am going to get 80 shares (as per the IPO size), and I'm planning to sell it at @150 GMP, they'll provide 150 * 80 = 12K to me already and the settlement is done later on based on the number of shared allocated? Thanks in advance.

Some confusion to be clear::
First
If you sell your 4 application
Then application rate currently 2800
So you will get 2800 x 4=11200
Irrelevant your allotments
And
Buyer will square off on listing day, if he earn 16000 then u have to payback 16000--11200=4800
But he earns 10000 then he will pay u 1200
But but
If you sell shares at a certain premium example 200 at a quality of 100 shares
Then you earn 20000 fix
Irrelevant of profit or loss
If buyer earn 25000 from your 100 shares you have to payback 5000 and if loss happen of 2000 then he will pay u
These are examples only
All dealing in cash
Please mind it carefully
Not advisable at all

CSB listed above premium..So u want to say Ujjivan will list below 10 rs premium? I'm seeing forum members are blindly following u..If this becomes reality I will become ur follower too..

It ll not list the premium at 10-12... Considering HIN and Retail category minimum premium ll be 18-20 Rs.. lets c on listing day..
