Is shorting allowed on the day of listing.
I tried for one share only in SBI CAP SEC, but it didnt allowed?

Through which broker u were able to do the shorting?

Short in margin in place of delivery

@Aniketiaf sir which broker you are referring to? I have tried in Zerodha and Upstox, neither of them allow short selling. thanks in advance

I think, it is possible with every broker.
For me, it was Globe Capital.

Keep applying and have faith on ipo allotment system, one day you will surely get.
Dont get into the mood that if I apply using asba or sbi i will get higher chance of allotment, if your application submit successfully then its not actually matters your application is with upi or asba or applied using any specific bank.

Only try to avoid third party application, apply using bank account of same person which demat account you are applying for.

And last one, remove thought from your mind that you are not getting allotment.

I am applying almost all IPOs since 3 years using my brother account kotak asba , never got allotment but today he got allotment in stovekraft :)
Now listing will tell its lucky this time or still unlucky.

In indigo I applied first time using my brother’s daughter minor account and she got allotment in first attempt.

I have 12 accounts in these still few accounts where never got allotment.

So keep applying in all good ipos , we dont know whose application will get.

Lekker Ji, I am also holding minor DEMAT (for my son) with Prostocks and saving with HDFC (Son is 1st owner and I am Natural Guardian and joint owner in HDFC Saving account). But not sure about IPO applying process. As such PROSTOCKS offer UPI (not possible for Minor) and ASBA is not available with them (I don''t wish to go with Physical Application). I understand for Indigo you apply from Brother''s Daughter account. Could you please elaborate considering above two constraints.

One of my relative has a Savings account and D mat account in Union Bank. Can I apply for IPO from that account?
I believe there is no direct trading facility in Union Bank. Then how to sell shares if we get the allotment?

Minor account with prostocks

And minor saving account with yes bank under guardian of mother account. Recently yes bank updated their net banking including ASBA feature, so using parent net banking i can select minor bank account to block amount for minor asba application.

About hdfc bank asba , i dont have very nice experience, i have closed my all services with this bank. No matter this is largest private bank.

There is other option, you can open your own savings account with any sbi, axis, indusind , these banks allows 3rd party applications, so you can apply your son application from any of these banks net banking asba.
