My initial applications in SME IPOs were in Retail category. I got allotment in Megaflex and one more IPO in Retail category.

​@finoart , retailers do get allotment. It is luck and number game. One can get in one chance and another may not get in lifetime in highly subscribed IPO, it is all possible. My suggestion, apply in good fundamental SME IPO with Apply or May Apply rating by DD sir. Even if subscription is below 20x based on fundamental you can apply for better chance given market sentiment is good. One recent example Atmastco where many of us got a pie.

And most importantly you should not allow the market and ipo frenzy to impact your life. Play safe and when you can.

Thanks for replying, I got many allotment in mainboard ipo. In sme I am applying since last one year in 2 accounts but still waiting for first allocation.

I am liking this, as I believe, this is cleansing activity ongoing and it will keep lot of unwanted people outside share market so that genuine people (who understand pros and cons of this market) can participate more effectively

+1 to it. @GrayIsTheNewBlack  Reality check was very much needed, and just sitting idle on the sidelines, sometimes helps.

From last week, lot of sellling in my portfolio to conserve the existing profit. I did not sold my shares thinking of paying 15% tax in profits but the profit itself has come down from 100% to 30% and in some negative .

I'm lovin' it!

Out to buy my chosen stocks in secondary and primary markets.

Ofcourse this correction was greatly needed. Because sme had a new word till last week-LOTTERY. Now everything has to settle down and get to realistic levels

These days its a flippers/punters/traders market for about 11 months a year and an investors market for only about 1 month a year.

Let's make the best of it and let TIME be the JUDGE and the MARKET as always the BOSS!

​@GrayIsTheNewBlack Problem is indecision on when to add - market just keeps falling. Very tempting to move some of the FD money which was blocked for IPOs into the secondary market

​@rohiitian - there can never be a right point where you can go all in.
Nobody can predict if its just a running correction or a proper bear market in small and midcaps.
I guess staggered buying could be the way to go.
Maybe, invest overall 10% now - So, that if the market rises from here you are atleast participating in some way if it falls further you have enough ammunition at your disposal to invest on each fall.

What strategy are you following ?

​@GrayIsTheNewBlack Most of my money is already in the market, and another chunk is focused on IPOs (in FD). Free capital is currently limited, hence the indecision, because in SME stocks, 1 lot is 2-3L, and buying little at a time is tough. Feels like there's more room to fall.

I have gone FF with remaining funds in Pratham - from a quick scan of RHP it looked good, but I haven't researched it in depth like Atmastco. Will do so before listing. Market conditions are such that it will be easy to buy a couple of lots on listing. Also interesting that on this red day, Atmastco ended up 1.5%. I hope that's a sign.

​@rohiitian Sir you will receive atmasco below ipo price if this downside continues for next 2-3 days. It has already touched low at 115. Although fundamentals are intact, but market behaviour changed in anticipation regulatory action.
Disclosure: booked profit at 183 against rs.93 buying in pre-open(3 lots)

​@GrayIsTheNewBlack @rohiitian Correction is always healthy in Share Market. Market was making top after top. So, cooling down was expected. But upto what level it goes is difficult to know. No prediction is possible. For long term investors such Correction is always better. Now there is no other way to accept Market movement.
Greedy Promoters need some lesson. Absorbent pricing. Investors were/are also boarding the running train. Now they also have to think.
Bottom fishing is never possible in Share Market. This is also not possible to sell on top and buy on last level of Correction. Because both the positions are not known to any one.
But one thing is sure, I, think, new high will again there. Nobody in the market want Share Market to go down and down. Country can't afford the Share Market in bad position. It is the parameter of our growing Economy. I have seen Market below 1,000 to above 74,000. No doubt on papers we have list heavily.

​@Simply Vicky Maybe you're right and if i get at IPO price, I will buy more. But I may also not even get at 130 again.

I can't time the market so buy & sell doesn't work for me once I decide to hold stock for medium to long term. I look for biz with strong management, high growth, low PE, plus sector tailwinds as a bonus. Atmastco has all 4 - so not stressed about panic selling

Even though I'm new to the secondary market, I go with proper due diligence and go with a long-term perspective. If the market corrects even more also, it's a good opportunity for investors and weed out unwanted people.

And rightly as you said, no one can predict if it is a big correction or just a pull-back. So allocating funds for individual stocks and adding holdings at the proper level in a SYSTEMATIC way rather than a deadly way till a price point is the way to go.
Am I making sense?

No allotment for my 127 lots single hni application. I might be the single person and so not even considered for lottery. Let us wait and see the BoA for actual position. That is also not sure whether this lot would appear in the sample BoA.

​@DEVBULL There are both possibilities.. Either your application is not considered for lottery or you have not allotted due to 320 times Oversubscription..
Is it worth buying to buy this sme share in pre opening tomorrow if it list around 25-30 Rs premium..

If you could move the 100/40/40 to one account, you would have had a great chance of assured listing. I know it's irritating to do in practice especially with funds in FDs, but maybe worth it?

I will decide around 2.30PM. Prima facie, looking at market conditions, I would not like to apply; but fundamentally this is not bad stock, so if I don't apply, I may buy it in secondary market.

​@G profit - If you can tolerate 15% discount listing (worst case) then apply.
With the ongoing bloodbath - chances of discount listing cannot be ruled out.

Ok, I have planned to skip this one, as I see some opportunities already in secondary market now.. So, will not block funds here, rather try to gain directly from secondary market, specially when this is now very risky bet already.
