One more thing I would like to confirm from you Vimal ji.. that I have just opened my family members a/c's in icici bank.. & also have opened money multiplier linked fd in one a/c..& will do same for other a/c's..
Have applied successfully in one ipo yesterday first time from the linked fd a/c
On the ipo page.. icici allow to fill dmate a/c only.. While space for Depository is also given there..so without DP name.. Weather Submission of ipo application is fine..
My one more quary is .. that is it fine to apply ipo in icici without having dmate in icici or should I have to opt icici direct..
Your clerification will help me lot..

Well, i have demat Ac with NSDL. We have to fill 2 fields DP ID (8 8 digits), no DP name is required..

Do not know about CDSL though..

We do not need to have demat Ac with ICICIDIRECT at all. I do not have it and i am applying for IPOs for over a year now!!😊😊

As far as allotment in SME is concerned, yes, I repeat, yes, I have never received any allotment in SME in my three accounts so far. Hope *PRATHAM* EPC PROJECT may give me my *PRATHAM* allotment. Applying in good SMEs, generally heavily subscribed. This may be a reason. But fortunate enough in Main line IPOs to get allotment in Five sHNI. One of them was "BLS E" which was subscribed about 290x.
So, no regret for SME non allotment till today.

Your money, your profit, your losses..
Sometimes its better not to get "PRATHAM".
because if you are "PRATHAM" in any field, everyone monitor you..
(E.g. when adani is "Second" or "Third" Richest person in india, everything was fine with adani, but as soon as he got "PRATHAM" in richest people list in india, HINDENBURG comes into picture.. and you know the further story...

Sorry, I meant 10x.. While, with so many IPOs ongoing, I thought this will not have bumper subscription (maybe decent subscription)

~4000 Cr applied in HNI category and ~6000 Cr in retail from Karni and Koura will come straight here. This will be 700-800x minimum in HNI and 550-600x in retail.

The only chance of easy allotment is for IPOs that do not have any GMP or weak GMP (like Atmastco), or come as large fixed price issues (where HNI category is usually 45% of issue, rather than 15% of issue - also like Atmastco)

Atmastco was an exceptional one, I took risk considering fundamentals there and was lucky to get one lot. It has already doubled investors' money, and it is not rallying for no reason, but on technical grounds.

And I agree @rohiitian to all your points, specially on higher share for HNI category, which helps retail investors too to have fair chance of allotment.
