@Monisha Good Morning and wishing all the Members on the auspicious day of "GANESH CHATHURTHY".
From such a great discussion between the learned members, I am also learning something.
Happy to learn that you are a professional CA. Investing in Mutual Funds from last 15 years. Your return on your investment is very good.
I have very different way of writing looking into my age and experience of bad and good days. CAs are the professional who have vast knowledge to manage funds for the best return. I am not so competent to discuss with you in so details as you have the best knowledge and your capacity to invest. It will be like beating the bush. I belive in some quotes by some prominent persons, learned personalities and our God As well as Goddesses. Some to quote :
FOR THE COMFORTABLE JOURNEY OF SHARE MARKET/MUTUAL FUNDS REDUCE THE EXPECTATIONS OF GAINS.
LITTLE ADJUSTMENT IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN A LENGTHY ARGUMENTS.
A MEANINGFUL SILENCE IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN MEANINGLESS WORDS.
A CHILD IS FATHER OF THE FATHER.
IF YOUR DESIRES ARE WITHIN YOUR WEALTH, YOU ARE A RICH PERSON AND IF IT IS ABOVE YOUR WALTH, YOU ARE A POOR PERSON.
and lastly I would like to quote Sudha Murthy :
MINDSET HAS MORE POWER THAN ANY THING ELSE IN THE WORLD.
The share market is unpredictable. I have witnessed it below 1000 pts to 67000 pts in BSE.
It's like cricket commentators where comments are given after playing a ball.
I have many examples but now use to quote many. I sold 100 shares of Tata Elexi at Rs. 60. IPO allotment at Rs.10. Last one holding Solar Industries IPO allotment of 2006 at about 120x.
I know that many members will not be comfortable with my views but comparison is always done between past and present.
Lastly quoting Bill Gates :
DON'T COMPARE YOUR SELF WITH ANYONE IN THIS WORLD, IF YOU DO SO, YOU ARE INSULTING YOURSELF.
Feel free to comment.
""BE A VOICE, NOT AN ECHO".
All the best to you. Have a memorable time with your family and friends. But always be healthy.
