Absolutely not. They track ipo application with pan & demat id combination. No need to do it from registered bank account with demat.

Well I Have Done it Anyways and Got Allotments.
My broker is Edelweiss and They asked Me to apply through The Bank account linked with the demat only.

So...

WTF....I''ve applied to 2 different Demats from SBI. I''ve applied to to all oversubbed IPO in past 6 months using SBI. NOT even a single time I got an allotment. I think its more than my luck here. Seems SBI is doing some game or their ASBA is crap.

Can anyone here confirm me that they have been allotted (in oversubscribed stock via lottery) stocks in IPO?

So ur luck shined only in L& T infotech. Icici G was sure allotment. Your success ratio is too low.

BTW, how many application you did?

I am doubtful over ASBA system of SBI. Period.

I have applied from SBI ASBA a couple of times.
And have got allotments in cochin Shipyard, Amber Enterprises, Mahindra Logistics And S. Chand. (Though S. Chand didn''t have a good listing but it was also 65 times oversubscribed)

I don''t think SBI ASBA has any problems.
Apply One PAN, one demat, from one bank account.

It is a decent stock and holding at this level is individual decision.

It is not a level to buy more. Avoid adding more at this level.

Luck was in our favour yesterday and gave us good listing as indian market was up.. Everyone should utilize and take as much advantage of this good listing as possible,

Sold 5 shares yesterday@Rs 1670 and still holding remaining 5shares. It''s good that I didn''t exit yesterday. Anyway primary market is more safe to play.
