Hey, anyone has taken a look at registrar. Its Intime Spectrum.
Unable to understand why the Central Bank has chosen the worst registrar of India. Is everything ok. I am really in doubt about this decision of bank.
This reduces the credibility of the bank's IPO in my view...

This is decent IPO. As the issue size is big enough so allotment chances are really high. One can book more or less 10% listing gain. Don't know about holding the stock will grow your money.

First time, I am visiting this site. It is good to see experts advise. Thanks Iyengar.
As you correctly pointed out, I have applied for small isues like Allied and Everonn. As they subscribed very heavily, I am not sure whether I get allocated any shares or not. Anyway, for days ahead need to see Omaxe, Omnitech and CBI how they will be subscribed.

Mr Iyengar has given an excellent view of how to play the ipo game. As mentioned open demat in your family members name and you are assured of allottment of certain big issues like central bank, spice commn. assuming you get 300-400 shares each in a family of 3, you will have 900-1200 shares. even if you get 10rs per share, you stand to get Rs.9000-Rs.12000/- . Isnt' it cool.Happy applying.

Regards

Viswanathan

Hi Rahul @ msg 21.
Although we can go on and on on the fundas,I will be very concise for the limited purposes of applying to various IPOs.

Omaxe is a decent issue for the investor from the view of allotment possibilities.Sector is getting re-rated in the market after the success of DLF.Compared to the total market capitalisation, the real estate sector is a very small baby.It is bound to go up with more and more realty companies hitting the market. The stigma with the sector is that there is no transparency, which will change with time and more companies in the market.Which means it is a good time for the small/retail investor to latch on.Omaxe being a good sized issue the allotment to us will be decent.Depending on how many you were allotted and at the time of listing you can decide to book a profit or keep invested. Apply to Omaxe in maximum number.

Central Bank of India.Same allotment possibility logic.Public sector bank will not go under. But no great shake like HDFC bank/ICICI Bank/KOTAK/UTI/Yes bank etc.Steady but slow. Will not be getting great income from fee based activities like the new gen pvt sector banks.Income depends on the NIM, which is the difference between cost of funds and the lending rates. It will be steady but being a PSU bank can get hit by NPAs due to lending for reasons other than commercial banking but due to political pressure etc.But do apply for maximum and get shares allotted as it is also decent sized.
Omnitech, don't rack your brain too much.Small size issue which will get heavily oversubscribed.lottery scheme.Apply in small quantity for the fun of being in it.If you have unlimited resources apply as much as you can.

It is better to get many shares allotted and even if the listing premium is low you end up getting decent money. No point in running after small issues like Allied digital,Everonn.Simplex etc.Bide your time and go for the kill with large issues. Many more are in the pipeline. To get more shares allotted open demat accounts in other family members names like wife, father, mother,son/daughter etc.It is a round about exercise but overall will be worth the effort.

Now after all this, if you post your mail id, I can send you my bill for professional advice!!!
All the best.Happy investing.Make hey while the sun lasts.

well dear,

let me take some initiative and add something to all. However, its a gov bank and obviously great rerurns will be holding the share itself. I am working for a reputed bank and am well aware what happens with banking share. I agree to certain comments while the same IPO can result in better gains for short terms an might be best for long..Take a call..
