if Grey mkt activities are legal, then there should be appropriate forum/ exchange like bse and nse where people can participate in grey mkt activities online and GMP be a public information. Am I right ?

Dear Sh sir,
In the speculative market, all the conclusions will be drawn based on the probabilities only. There will be no principles. What I mean to say is smaller the IPO size like Aishwarya telecom, Avon in year 2008 ,edseve, rishabdev in 2009 and shekhavat poly in 2010 maximum the chances of premium listing and watch the size of issue and correlate with No. of failures.
Make an exercise and come to a conclusion. (In the cantibel issue the size was above 100crores)
The Sanchin tendulkar of IPO market is also coincided with this logic. I differed his views on the terminology of the market like grading, PE, book values only but not on the estimation of the listing prices or movement of prices after listing. I still remember my comment on his assessment on Muthoot listing while others are in hallucination.
(I entered this site only during Muthoot issue was going on). This was hidden by some co members.

Dear members don't panic regarding listing of this issue ,all small sized(around 50 crores size) issues given enough time for exit who are not willing to take risk .(that is upto 2 to 3 minutes from opening. This time is enough time to sell shares allotted through full aplication) There was only one issue which is exception case among in recent IPOs,is Servalaxmi. This also given marginal of 5% loss given. Further I traced upto seatv network which was listed on 14th october-10 and not found any issue which is not given an exit chance without loss. So dont worry no body will dare to short this issue at initail stage.

Bhartiya global - Expected to list at heavy discount. No buyer in grey market.

Can any one let us know confirm GMP of L & T Finance ?

dear seen ipo your calculation is exceeklent regading short or long to an new issue in most of the cases it works but exceptions are always there.

It seems that retail people will create panic in this IPO as people has got more no. of shares than expected

So chances are heavy that it lists at significant discount but i m sure that it will give recovery from there
Current GMP seller of at par
no buyer even at -1

Inventure:- 8-8.5, after seeing the HNI response it seems that will give good returns

For L&T, retailers are heavily excited, it seems that listing will be muted current GMP 2300-2500 and 5-5.5

Dear Santoshji,

Any strategy will not work at 100% level .I entered this board only during Muthoot finance issue. From there onwards I observed this strategy is working many times. Yes It was failed to some extent incase of 3 issues if I am not wrong. 1).servakashmi 2).paraprint 3).Aanjaneya.
These issues made losses only if one does not put proper stoploss theory like most of our retail investors. We normally don’t put stoploss instead of this, we will do averaging when price moves in other direction .In case if trade goes as per his stance we try to put stop profit order and book profit at tiny levels.
If you remember regarding servalakshmi it moved little narrow range about its issue price of Rs 29 for some time. This is not right time to take a particular decision. O.k if he takes one decision they must exit and take position in opposite direction and maintain stop loss only always (not stop profit) .This issue moved from Rs 29 to 49 and came back to Rs 17/- please tell me how a person loose money taking position long or short when issue price crossed accordingly. Even if take long position at Rs 30 and not booked at higher level between Rs 30 and Rs 49/- also the trading will end in profit due to taking short position at Rs 29 and ended some where Rs 20/-while retracement period.
2). In case of Aanjaneya once it crossed issue price around 10 hrs it has not looked back to issue price and ended considerable premium.

3).The only failure happened to little extend in paraprint issue where one need to book losses due to sideways movement most part of the day.
Remaining all issues from Sanghvi,Aanjaneya,VMS,Timbor,Birla, rushil,RMS are given windfall profits both for long position time and short position times.
I made little profit in Sanghvi and loss in Aanjaneya but good profit in VMS, timbor ,rushil and RMS but left Birla due to my concentration was on Rushil where I had applied and got shares.
I applied in both BGIL and inventure and will come up with my view at appropriate time.

seenuipo in servalakshmi first it down from issue price then up......if one will short it @28 then price move upward 30-33-37-42-...what he will do he must out @30-32 with loss booking... how one will know it it down or up....same case in Aanjaneya Lifecare at the time of listing.....on the listing day of next ipo u must give ur trading stratagy as soon as possible on the board

Dear members, watch the comments of following two experts,
We will try to express our views in the form of IPO finder and Saharanpuriji as I am observing they are trying to catch the pulse of market on the particular IPO rather than making calcuations like 2nd standard mathematics as done by some members like PE multiples,EPS and book value or so.Market will discover the price based on the earning visibility or intellectaul or other but not past things like previous EPS.
So kindly observe them and try to accostum ourselves to estimate the market mood and stick on to it by buying or shortselling according to ones estimates on the listing day.
Please dont say avoid the issue in trading aspect. What happend to those people in case of RMS by shorting at just below issue price Rs 108/and covering upto max Rs at 65/-(I feel there are only two thing one is buy at particular price or short sell at a particular price).

Dear members,
Some of experts from our group are much exited in giving information regarding PE ratio and EPS for the IPOs duly comparing with average PE multiples.
This will not be proper calculation for example in RHP of BGIL it is mentioned on the page 43 that EPS is Rs 4.99 for the year 2011. So according to that the PE multiple will be 15.03 on lower band and 16.43 on upper band.
The industry PE multiples are below.
Computer software/medium, small scale: highest 113.6 and lowest 2.7 and average is 10.7.
So one wants to attribute the highest PE multiple then the price will be 113.6 X 4.99 =Rs 566.86.
Another person wants to attribute the lowest PE multiple of the industry then the price could be 2.7 X 4.99 = Rs13.82.
Finally a moderate person wants to compare with industry average PE multiple. Then the price should be 10.7 X 4.99 =Rs 53.3
It means the price on listing day could be right from Rs 13.82 to Rs 566.86 .This is the base we are discussing depends on PE multiples.
What is more required to prove for innocence in talking the PE multiples.
One more item I find on the board that Grading of the issue by rating agency.
I feel this will reflect the business model only not price of the share (not at all).
I will try to explain with small example.
Somebody offers gold coin (Can attribute Grade 5)of 10 g for Rs 40000/- and another person offers old news papers (say Grade 1 or may be 0)for Rs 2/- per kg.
Then what I prefer to consider is grade 1(probably 0 in our sense) item that is old news papers. You may ask why because for grade 5 (gold) items the buyer will come only if I offer Rs 21000 to 23000 per 10 grams that is around Rs 17000/- I have to loose.
Where as for grade 0 item (old news papers) the buyer will offer me at least Rs 4 per KG.
So I will be benefited in purchasing Grade 0 item instead of Grade 5 item if I look into the price rather than grade of the item.

In the same way in IPOs also grading will made us temp to jump for loosing our money after listing if it is overpriced.

So please stop the words like 'this 3rd class or 2nd class or 0 class IPOs (I know 1st class IPO RPOWER how made damage to retail segment)

Dear Santonuji,
you need not worry about first minute squaring off the positions by QIB or HNI.We also can do this, I am selling/buying (trigger buy or sale) most of the times like 9:15:01 or 9:15:02 or so.This possible only in online and AMO orders. This is allowed by several brokerages mainly (preferably in ODIN diet based softwares).According to my knowledge like JM,Angel, religare, inditrade and many many. But this is not possible in case of brokerages which are running by public or private sector banks. The message I got like 'margin trading not permitted in this script'.
Actaully this type of limitations will lead to missing the ship.
