Hi members. I'm new to investing and want some clarity regarding IPO applications. I have 2 Demat accounts, linked to self and my sister's PAN respectively. When I apply for IPO from both, can I use funds from a single bank account (in my name) by UPI/ASBA? Or do we need to have the same person's bank account when applying?

Any expert please guide,haven't got single sme lot till date, what will be best option to in view of allotment?
a) 7 lot 1,40,000 x 7= 9.8 lac
+ 7 lot 1,40,000 x 7= 9.8 lac total - 19.6 lac .
2 different pan wise account application means total 14 lot with 2 account .
Or
b) 14 lot 1,40,000 x 14 = 19.6 lac . one single application
Or
c) 12 lot 1,40,000 x 12 = 16.80 lac
+ 2 lot 1,40,000 x 2 = 2,80 lac.
Or
d) 13 lot 1,40,000 x 13 = 18.20 lac
+ 1 lot 1,40,000 x 1 = 1.40 lac .

Choose any option except option B as it has only one chance of allotment.

I would choose D Option as if you have two different PAN Card demat Account.
As you have Max chance for NII Allotment for 13 lots where 15% offer and other 1 as Retail lottery for 35% offer Size.

Dear @newgen consultancy @Basuvr What is best possible chances for allotment I have 7 demat with different PAN, single lot retail or 2,3,4 lot hni in SME with 12 lakh fund.
I have applied single retail since one year and still not any allotment in SME

​@Skavinab Sir you have 12 lac funds, with which you can apply only 8 lots. Now considering Accent will highly subscribed if you apply 1 application with 8 lots then also allotment chances will be less on lottery bases.

I would suggest to apply 2 applications with 2 lots and 4 applications with 1 lot each.

You can try with other lot options as well but whatever you apply results will be on lottery bases. As guided by Vaibhavvd, whatever option you select apply with positivity and confidence.

Also on allotment try to donate atleast 10% to the needy orphans and do feed some birds.

Interesting company and issue. Positives and negatives but more positives.

1) Manufactures excipients. Supplies to pharma, food, nutraceutical industry etc. Main excipient produced is microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) and Sigachi Industries is a direct competitor.

2) Some other Indian excipient manufacturers are Vikram Thermo (listed) and Ideal Cures (acquired by MNC Colorcon in 2021 at huge valuation). Sigachi has ebitda margins of ~20% (sales Rs 325 cr), Vikram (~25%; sales Rs 121 cr), Ideal Cure (~Rs 190 cr; 23%; FY2022). Type of excipient manufactured differs.

3) Accent had sales of Rs 204 cr with 10% ebitda (FY2023); ebitda at 16% for 1st quarter FY2024; many intergroup transactions so good chance that some profits are being captured in the group companies (Sigachi at 20%). If promoters are smart, they will gradually bring all margins into listed entity over time and reduce large intergroup transactions. Exports (63% of sales).

4) Some balance sheet items; receivables under control (all less than 6 months); gets some advance from customers; freight & forwarding expenses down sharply in 1st Q FY2024 to Rs 1.37 cr (were Rs 11 cr in FY2023, Rs 13 cr in FY2022 and Rs 7 cr in FY2021). Odd. Window dressing?

5) A very large primary issue (raising Rs 78 cr). Good part is that use is mainly for expanding capacity. But expansion will get over only by March 2025 (long gestation).

6) Valuation: Based on FY 2023 numbers, PE post money is 23x and extrapolating 1st Q FY2024 numbers, PE post money is 10.5x which is attractive (Sigachi trades at 36x though sales are 50% higher). As fund raise is large, pre-money valuations are even more attractive. And if margins move closer to 20% as for Sigachi, valuations get more attractive. And then there is the expansion which will come on stream by 2025.

7) Promoter holding at 54% post dilution is a bit of a dampener (prefer skin in the game with promoter holding around 70%+) but probably the large fund raise is responsible. I am applying. Good long term bet. No recommendation. Please do your own due diligence.

What goes up...comes down...and goes up again. :)

Do I get more chances of allotment if I apply 4,5,6 lots? or it gets skipped in the process if not many people apply 4,5,6 lots and most of them go for 10 lots?

In highly subscribed IPO like Deepak, Net where it's above 400x, you will find many applications with 4,5,6,7,8,9 lots and they mostly qualify for lottery but due to huge subs allotment becomes very tougher.

So just apply and forget, if lucky we will be allotted.
