@PKRAJ, based on your several years of experience of many ups and downs, what is your learning that you can share with us novices? Do you retain your investments for long term and not get influenced by such sudden draw downs or do you also sell in such market conditions and then buy again lower later?

I have seen many ups and downs. As I am long term and a small investor I sell some shares for financial need. When I retain shares I never sell shares after a big decline. I book some profit when market tests high. But it is always not possible to sell all holding at high only. When I sell on high, I seldom buy back those again, even at lower rates. There are many choices. Whenever, in general, sold at high and tried to buy the same at lower, I was never successful. Only two three such cases.
In 2008, a great crash, I did not sell, some of those are 20x, 30x, and even 80x and some 0.20x. So small losses doesn't make any difference. Last but not the least, all depends on your luck only. MAN PROPOSES GOD DISPOSES, I always say. Learning never ends. Still I am learning.
