I am also surprised. In mainboard IPO one should not apply for more than 1015000 per PAN. But in good SME IPO one can submit application of even Rs 50 lakh or one crore etc

If funding is available for SME IPO then it could be one reason

I still remember the money PayTM IPO brought in, the subscription value was discussed across world for it. So, India is just on papers the 4th/5th economy, while it has surpassed all economies already unofficially. India is cash rich way beyond expectations, and this is when we are comparing it with share market investments (which also is less than 10% of total population yet)
