Hi Chino

I have shorted many applications in grey market at more than 3500
and I have covered all my short positions in futures and now have longs in SCI future
regarding having short positions in the future..
here is the concerns
(a) we will get only 110 shares per 1 lac application..
(b) Futures will turn into premium as soon as the FPO allotment comes
(c) People are expecting it at lower band and govt will not give it at lower band.

I APPRECIATE YOUR VIEWS AND OTHER'S. IT IS VERY USEFUL FOR MY KIND OF INVESTORS. IN THE CASE OF SCI, JUST I HAD APPLIED FOR 600 SHARES, PROBABILITY OF GETTING 100 IS ALSO LESS. NEITHER I WILL EARN NOR LOOSE IN NEAR TERM. IN COAL INDIA IPO I WAS ALSO LUCKY ENOUGH TOO GET BENEFITED.

Some intelligent people have advised to short the future and to apply the IPO
Now these people have disappeared
Those who have shorted the futures need to cover their futures on Monday itself to minimize the losses
On monday it can touch the levels of 150

don't worry you will get some money. but be care full. Sometime IPO make us more full. Specially market is hot. some bakavas company will do good Ads. and give stock at higher price and we will endup with loss.

There is a chance for the Govt. to feel that the price band is a little on the higher side and so fixing it at 135. Don't forget the effect of this issue will be there in further disinvestment. The Govt. may not want more NMDCs, NTPCs, SJVNs and NHPCs.

Your explanation for theory is fine, but in the case of SCI it is oversubscribed at cutoff price, you can check at NSE+BSE for subscription at cut off, so this issue will be finalized at 140 only and retailers will get the shares at 133.

after seeing retail demand i too applied in sci.2 application of 2 lacs.it will give at least 10000.any how better than MOIL

if oversubscription is at the rate of 139 then the price will be 139..but if complete issue size is covered at bid at 140 then only its fixed at 140

oversubscription generally does not mean upper limit

Because of the over subscription price will be fixed at upper price band only.
