Yesterday there is a news item appeared in The Businessline about the enhancement of limit from 1 to lacs in Retail category. Actully this has backfired and the Retail investors suffered because of people who applied up to lac occupied or likely to get more share and also will be availing 5% discount. the article has questioned how a person applying up to 2.0 lacs can be considered as a REtail Investor. A Good Question

i had applied for 2 application:

1. 255 -- Rs 95K+
2. 204 - Rs 75K+

any idea what allotment will be for above 2 application ?

retail investors who have applied for 527 shares will probably get around 17 shares,and i see the premieum at around 100-120 rupees.

moil limited can't give shere becouse listing is x53%

Everyone ( allotted ) will get 17 shares in MOIL( assuming 31-32 times over subscription) nothing more nor less.

When the minimim lot is of 17 shares while applying, the minimum lot allotted will also be 17 shares, so either you get 17 plus shares or you get nil shares, please do not expect 6 or 8 shares

Everyone is talking about 17 shares to be alloted on full aplication..What happens if application is for say 13 lots, ie., 13*17 = 221 shares? In this case, whether the allotment would be minimum of 6 shares assuming 32 times oversubscription? Does this mean that every body who has applied for two lots (34 shares) would get atleast one share? Or. is there any minimum no. of shares which needs to be alloted?

Dear Investors,

Dont be biased to those shares in which u have long positions. I agree that almost all the public is having applied application in MOIL has a biased opinion that this should list 600, 700 or even 800, some guys saying strong buyer of 210 etc....

but let me tell u that there was a grey market premium of 300 some 20 days back, but this hass fallen to 190-195 today, that too after everhighest record breaking retail participation, even higher than COAL India...

u your self can judge that even after HNI subs of 150 times, qib 50 times and retail more than 30 times, a share is continouously loosing its premium in grey market....

what does this mean... I dont have any applied position but that does not mean i am biased becaused i am neither long nor short in this scrip...

but my sincere advice... be cautious of these day dreamers or liars who tell u wrong grey market prices... check ur self what is quoting in grey market and if possible exit at early as soon as at the time of listing u may not be able to get more than 30% premium i.e. around Rs. 100 per share...

In MOIL there is no question of retail investors getting more than 17 shares, whatever is the amount they have put in. The Power Grid story is different. It was a case where the allocation in most cases was more than the lot size, so the number varied as per the ratio of allocation.

Most guys are assuming that the allocation will be in multiples of 17(lot size). But this is for application but not for allocation. For example - PowerGrid lot size was 65. On full application, most guys got 297 shrs - which is not multiple of 65.

IT WILL LIST AT 600/, THEN SHOOT UP TO 800/ IN 2 DAYS. BOOK PROFIT THEN REPURCHASE AT 450/ IN 15 DAYS.
