You are intra-day trader & applied for listing gain. A stop loss allows decision making to be free from any emotional influences. People tend to fall in love with stocks, believing that if they give a stock another chance, it will come around. This causes procrastination and delay, giving the stock yet another chance. In the meantime, the losses mount....

You should know why you own a stock. Can intra-day traders or short-term investors own this stock? You stick to the strategy without emotion.

Stop-loss orders can help you stay on track without clouding your judgment with emotion.

It's important to realize that stop-loss orders do not guarantee you'll make money in the stock market; you still have to make intelligent investment decisions. If you don't, you'll lose just as much money as you would without a stop loss, only at a much slower rate.

Buy 50% around Rs.50 and balance when the broad-market corrects.

When it is applied for listing gain or for intra-day trading, stop-loss is important. When you notice declining trend in the morning, day-traders should exit. In case of trend-reversal during the course of the day, you may re-enter.

At this stage, Rs.50 appears to be good entry point for long-term investors. However, invest 1/3 or 1/2 of your portfolio. Should the market corrects sharply- let me say Nifty falls to 5350 or 5250, you can average it in case you get below issue price.

It is currently loss-making. Investment in instalments is better option. You need to consider broad-market trend also for long-term investment.

Hi
Thanks SJ and Ravi for valuable information.

So should we keep the limit of 50 and buy the shares.. it may go down today..but in a day or two it can rise also..
what say..?

GPPL 53.65- Facing cluster of resistances at higher levels.

As long as it trades below 54, it is vulnerable to selling pressure. It could fall to 53-52 zone, then 50. Chance of even below 46.7 (but remote chance).

Unexpetedly if crosses above 56.5 (bullish scenario), it may rise to 59, 60 but outside chance above 62.

Conclusion:

As per early trend, it is facing selling pressure at higher levels.
