The higher the number of lots, the better chances

@Next To B Millionaire Better to go for 35 lots. This will slightly make a better chance compared to 30.

There are 5 SME IPOs closing on 20th FEB. I have decided to put my money in two or three of them in following preference (Reasons already mentioned in earlier posts):
Pref 1 : ESCONET Pref 2 : THAII CASTING Pref 3 : ATMASTCO (50:50 chance of applying, will take final call after 12 noon tomorrow, GMP is the main reason ), I may avoid also.
I have decided not to apply in following two IPOs:
1. Kalahriddhan : Despite good financials, I will not apply as Lead Manager’s past record is that of wealth destroyer. Further I have no comfort in the financials of the Company as the Company has tripled its bottomline (profit) without any significant increase in its topline (turnover). It appears suspicious to me. In SME, everything is possible, any Company can get listed at any premium, because its easy to manage due to small size, but I have no trust in the the lead manager of this Company and its financials. 2. Interiors and More : LM is good but very aggressively priced IPO and no GMP at all. Accordingly, as such poor subscription figures till now. Risky Investors may take a chance as this LM has done excellent listings in past. But I have limited funds, cant participate in all 4-5 IPOs, therefore, I skip.
Allocation in accounts where funds are limited:
1. Accounts in which Balance is for one lot only : I will go for retail application ESCONET and skip others. 2. Accounts in which Balance is for Two lots : I will apply one lot retail in ESCONET and THAII each. 3. Accounts in which Balance is for three lots: I will apply one lot retail in ESCONET and THAII each. Decision on third lot, whether to apply or not in ATMASTCO will be taken tomorrow afternoon. Even if I decide, not to apply in ATMASTCO, I will not increase a lot in either of ESCONET or THAII applications. I feel HNI will subscribe much more than retail and therefore, there is no point in applying TWO LOTS. ONE LOT APPLICATION IS BETTER THAN TWO LOTS (some times three lots also, eg WTI cabs) APPLICATIONS. 4. Accounts in which there is a balance for Four lots or more : I will apply for one lot of THAII and remaining 3 lots or more lots in ESCONET (Depending upon my decision of ATMASTCO). 5. In case some one has multiple accounts: One should try to maximise retail applications in order of preference, and if there is some unutilized funds e.g. 7 lots or 11 lots may be used in one single application. E.G. some one has 5 accounts and funds equivalent to 20 lots. I would prefer 5 retail applications of THAII and four retail applications ESCONET. Remaining 11 lots application, I will put in ESCONET.
Reasons for such allocation: 1. In SME IPOs, in the case of retail portion subscribes higher than the HNI portion, allocation is done as per average subscription (Generally). 2. Most of the times (barring a few exceptions), HNI gets more number of times oversubscribed than retail (2-3 times more, eg. WTI cabs).
Subscription numbers and the messages on this forum for this IPO is not matching. Less activity for Esconet and More activity for Thaai but the subscription numbers are reverse.

Given that the Registrar's site is again hung by the traffic it would be great if they could use this Company's products. In fact, other registrars and the likes of brokers like Zerodha etc too which face outage often should be using their products. This will help us the company mint more, the successful allotees mint more and the patrons of brokerage and registrars mint tension free :)
Signing off for you by saying Keep Helping us Mint!

Everything in this Ipo looks decent. Going to apply FF as lead manager has very consistent & dependable history.
