Buy 3 lots in Bombay metrics if you are able to buy at UC tomorrow....I can guarantee you that will give more profit if you are able to buy.
In dk, retail is already 16 times so very less chance of allotment in 2 retail applications and even if u get 1 lot of DK that will you profit from 22nd October (that too not sure how much) and I am sure of 3-4 continuous UC in Bombay metrics but it will be tough to buy tomorrow at UC also, you can try.

@GJ: i dont think you would have got chance to buy bombay metrics since only one lot traded today at UC and 158 lots pending buy order at UC....
so i think it would be tough for you get into bombay metrics today or for next 1-2 days....

How and Why does regulator allows different cutoff times for different platform?
AT 3 pm HNI subscription was 2.5 times and at 4 pm it is almost 6x. So half of the HNIs had the liberty and ease to apply till 4pm. It''s like Delhi Capitals batting with 10 fielder on the field during 1st half and with only 5 fielders on the field in the 2nd half. Till 3 I was worried of getting more than 1 lot and at 4 I am worried about the lottery. Unfair, as if had the chance I could have applied for 6 lots.
I am just experimenting but this is a more serious matter for big investors. If dates of IPO are same for all operators then why not IPO Hours...

Anyways i have put up this question and searched on internet also that which banks/platforms allows upto 4pm in hni but couldn''t got proper information.
HDFC bank in retails allows till 4pm but in HNI it allows till 3pm only i think. My wife is having hdfc bank account.
So not sure from where these actual HNI applies after 3pm, i heard they get some platform from some financial group or brokers etc.

Thats why, when I decided to apply, I bet big. most of the times I end up atleast one. but at the same time, like Birla AMC or Markolines, you end up taking more lots than you wanted. I prepared for that too.

@MRavi: yup right, by betting big, for you its ok when things don''t go well, like as u mentioned getting too much in aditya birla or markolines since u can bear that loss or that can be compensated by other profitable once, so indirectly your risk appetite is too much...but for us....its not the case so we need to be carefull that we dont get stuck at other side, even if not getting is fine :)

but i feel you are the only one who is holding sme ipos also for longer time. usually people (especially retailers) dont keep them for longer.
Did you sold any of your recent sme ipos like Jainam, markolines, BEW, Prevest, Bombay metric, Promax, venkatesh etc or still holding all of them :) ?
And any plan to sell anyone in near future? it will help us also in taking decision.

@ Avenue.. i told u before hni''s in sme surprise after 3.. and in sme hni''s surprise more than mainboard... Thats i got to learn by analysing sme from last month and finally today my prediction comes true.. as i predict 8 times at 1.50 pm.. u guys are still lucky to have one extra hour.. i hve to take decision by 2 everytime.. its never going to b easy any day..
In Denpro sme ipo at one moment i thought i m going to hve 3 or 4 lot..as i applied 40 lot and in the end i got an egg :)

yes correct. I could bo go wrong when I bet high, but still i can manage the risks in a way by investing a bit longer.
I did not sell any SME''s so far listed in your message (you know all my SME''s than me 😜). However, I still feeling that these SME''s are not for long term investments. I dont need the money even for near future IPO''s (enough kept in the bank after closing few FD''s, for any secondary market fall or big IPO;s expecting).
Also, very tough to make a call now, which ones to be sold now. So, I will give it some more time as I have really very long list of shares in my accounts. sooner I need to reduce it for monitoring purposes.

You and many others are very watchful, genuine follow-up of market and experienced.
I dont follow-up very regularly, last few days was good to have some time. Soon, I will be busy. However, If I will sell anything in near future, I will surely inform you.

@amit: its 4.5 times already...dont worry, you wont get more than 1 lot.
And 5 times subscription in NII and 15 times in retail is considered good only.

@dinesh: for 1X hni subscription, its 4 crore amount, 10 lakh shares, means around 830 lots....so from 1X to 5X means 4X increase in last 2 hours.....so around 3300 lots got applied....and you can count how many lots in this form has been applied....

HNI will apply at the last moment.
The thinking that it will be only 2 times in HNI is wrong. It will be minimum 5 times, accoding to me.

And i think all retails doesn''t have that much amount of money.

@ avenue.. sometimes after 2 pm hni figures changes dramatically. It can shocked everyone.. i also missed sme in hni .. as i was failed to assume the final numbers.. although i can apply with full force but in such case i may end up 5 to 6 lot.. dats eventually increase the risk factor. Keeping in mind no surety of profit in sme.. i want to take calculated risk.. in this ipo i m thinking About applying for 10 lot to get one..

@Noorul I understand last minute application in HNi and QIB and have already experienced this and was allotted more lots then interest, Exxaroo :)

Why HNI wait for last minutes of the last day when interest is calculated as per no. of days and not no. of hours. Here I do not see QIBs, do they also see and decide on RII figures or want to maintain suspense n anxiety in everybody mind till last minutes.

I also feel cutoff time should be made slandered on all platforms leaving an equal playing field. At present some have 2pm, some 3 and some 4 pm.
May be a point to consider when you decide on Bank...

Here is a point to notice that those who hve cut off time of 4 or by 5pm surely hve a advantage and alwys apply at last moment to calculate the numbers of lot to get 1 or 2 lot.. specially in sme they wait till last moment according to there cut off. I hve kotak cut off by 2pm.. and it''s 1.30 still in confusion state how much to apply.. i think everyone is facing same situation and taking decision at last moment...

I hve applied 8 lot.. lets see final figure..

@avenue: for your below query, one reason is funds second reason is no one is sure to apply or not, its not about getting ipo allotment or not but its about applying or not, else if someone is sure that company will do good after listing then definitely they can apply in hni for 2-3 lots for better chances of allotment and one last thing is as others mentioned, hni subscription can increase a lot after 3 pm then even 2 lot in HNI will also be having less chances.

@Lokes... I am a novice in this field and have very limited knowledge about companies, financials etc. ( near to Zero) and that way I see subscription figures as an indicator.

However I feel most other HNI like you and many other members are experts and have in-depth knowledge. You all take educated and well calculated decisions. Here I feel even if one HNI has decided to apply, he waits till last minutes. And to make it more complicated, last minutes of everybody is not the same.

@avenue: i also joined sme ipo''s recently so i dont have much experience.
Just applied in 3-4 ipos till now. I am just seeing company profile from some sites and trying to understand and compare financials.
And sme ipos are usually much more riskier than mainboard (only in some companies we can surely tell that it will do good, remaining can have any side suprise listing). Since lot size is bigger so profit/loss is also bigger.

NII subcription is just a consolation (or you can decide how many lots you want to get). its not easy as many banks HNI is 3 pm. (like me). Some bank upto 4 pm (or even upto 5 pm?).

Hence try your luck with taking into account that SME''s are really risky. may reward well some times and otherway most of the time.

Applied for 4 lots at 2:59 pm. The precise last minute for me. I want 0 or 1 lot, no more...

AT 2:57 NSE site showed NHI subscription around 2.4x and then even NSE site hanged. After 10 minutes now it worked and is showing ~ 3.4x HNI sub.

@anari: ya....anyways remember that in SBI, it closed 1-2 mins before 2pm, i have faced this in SBI so try to put application by 1.57pm or using zerodha (if u have account) you can apply via upi mode till 4pm for NSE SME ipos.
