Hi All Senior Members

I remember reading a post on CG about how higher # of lots applied increases the allotment chances in SME IPO.
Also, many times CG members post messages asking to club their application together or to apply similar # of lots to increase allotment chances.
Can someone please explain how this works?

"Does any one wants to join in 8 or 12 lots category?

Suppose the issue subscribes around 500 times then to be eligible for lottery, there must be 30 applications of 8 lot category OR 20 applications of 12 lots category.
Let's check how many applications can be joined so that an individual can take a informed decision on how many lot category to be applied, reason being if there is no eligibility of lottery for a particular lot category there is no much use of applying the same.

If you get allotment, the amount of one lot will be deducted from your bank account and remaining amount will be unblocked by the bank. The bank takes action according to the communication (for allotment or non allotment), received from the concerned Registar.

1 lot ka amount Debit ho jaayegaa aur balance amount unblock......

the sector is seeing tough competition from large corporations and the shares are being offered at a relatively high valuation though I strongly feel that there would be subscription due to recent government solar policy and the boom seen in the IPO market but the listing may not be as bumper as seen in some of the recent SME IPOs...

Yes, listing can't be predicted because of operator's heavy role and their channel. We should be satisfied with the profit in SME unlike mainline and we already know that SME is dealt in lots unlike single share.

Allotment chance are high,
Due to big size, premium might not sustain on higher side.

There should not be liquidity issue.
