   4. Upload the digital copies of the required documents.

2. Call their toll free number and talk to the customer support team. Once you have expressed your interest to open a trading and demat account with the company, a company representative will get in touch with you to take the process forward.

Documents needed for account opening

SMC Global requires following documents to open the trading and demat account:

1. Clear photocopy of PAN Card
2. Proof of Identity- Passport, PAN, Voter ID, Driving License etc.
3. Proof of Address- Voter ID, Driving License, Passport, Ration Card, Attested Photocopy of Bank Passbook/Bank Statement

To open a trading and a Demat account with the SMC, you need to register yourself online or call/SMS their toll-free numbers to express your interest. Steps to close SMC Account

Get in touch with SMC's customer service team by call/email etc. The customer service representative will assist you in closing the account.

In general, the accounts are not closed online. The company will ask you to fill a form and send it with required documents to the address provided in the form. If you have a joint Demat account then all holders have to sign the form.

If there are any balance funds in your account then it will either be transferred to your bank account.

Before initiating account closure, please make sure that-

1. Close all open positions in F&O.
2. All the securities held in your SMC Demat account are moved to another account.
3. Clear all dues with the company.

It is advisable that you follow up with the customer service, a couple of weeks from completing the account closure formalities, to check the status of your account.
