Shervani Industrial Syndicate Buyback 2024 vs Zydus Lifesciences Buyback 2024

Buyback is being undertaken, inter-alia, for the following reasons:

1. The Buyback will help the Company to return surplus cash to its shareholders holding equity shares broadly in proportion to their shareholding, thereby, enhancing the overall return to Shareholders.
2. The Buyback would help in improving return on equity by reduction in the share capital base and increasing shareholder value in the longer term.
3. The Buyback gives an option to the shareholders holding equity shares of the Company, who can choose to participate and get cash in lieu of equity shares to be accepted under the Buyback offer or they may choose not to participate and be benefitted of a resultant increase in their percentage shareholding, post the Buyback offer, without additional Investment.

The Buyback will help the company to distribute a part of the surplus cash to its shareholders holding equity shares thereby, optimizing returns to the shareholders and enhancing the overall shareholders' value in the longer term, and improving the return on equity.
