5paisa and IIFL Securities are two different stock brokers though they are promoted by the same person Mr. Nirmal Jain. Both 5paisa Capital Ltd and IIFL Holdings Ltd (formerly India Infoline Ltd) are publicly traded companies listed at BSE and NSE.

IIFL Holdings Ltd was incorporated in 1996 as India Infoline. It started as a stockbroker and soon become a diversified financial service provider. IIFL Securities is a subsidiary of IIFL holdings. IIFL Securities is a full-service stockbroker offering a wide range of financial services including trading and investment in equity and commodity.

5paisa Capital Ltd was incorporated in 2016 as a discount brokerage arm of IIFL Holdings. In 2019, the company was demerged and got listed at the stock exchanges. It is now an independent entity that has very little to do with IIFL.
