Can we buy direct mutual funds through ICICI Direct?

No, ICICI Direct doesn't offer Direct Mutual Funds. It offers only regular mutual funds through its online and offline investment platforms.

Unlike regular mutual funds which are sold through mutual fund agents like ICICI Direct, the Direct Mutual Funds are sold directly by AMC to the customers. The commission paid to the agents in the case of regular mutual funds is passed on to the customers in the case of direct mutual funds. The Direct MFs earn 1% to 2% additional yearly when compared with the Regular MF.

Stock brokers like Zerodha and 5paisa offer direct mutual funds.
