Necessity of the buyback

The buyback is being undertaken by the company for the following reasons:

The buyback will help the company to return surplus cash to its members
The buyback is generally expected to improve return on equity through the distribution of cash and improve earnings per share by a reduction in the equity base
The buyback gives an option to the members to participate in the buyback and sell their shares in lieu of cash or to not participate and enjoy the resultant increase in the shareholding.
