The process of transferring the allocated shares to the investor's demat account.
When you apply for an IPO and get an allotment, the shares you receive are directly deposited into your Demat (Dematerialized) Account in electronic form. This process is called “Credit of Shares to Demat.”
It means the company or registrar has transferred the allotted shares from its records to your personal Demat account with your broker (like Zerodha, Upstox, etc.). After this credit, you officially become the shareholder, and you can see and trade those shares once the stock gets listed on the stock exchange.
