Total Assets

Total Assets are the sum of everything a company owns, including cash, inventory, property, and equipment, representing its financial resources.

Total assets are the sum of all assets owned by a company, including current and fixed assets. It includes cash, receivables, inventories, real estate and equipment. Total assets reflect the company’s overall financial strength and the resources available for operations and investments.

Example:

Let’s say a company has the following:

  • Cash: ₹50,00,000
  • Accounts Receivable: ₹30,00,000
  • Inventory: ₹20,00,000
  • Property and Equipment: ₹2,00,00,000
  • Intangible Assets: ₹1,50,00,000

Total Assets would be:

Total Assets = 50,00,000 + 30,00,000 + 20,00,000 + 2,00,00,000 + 1,50,00,000 = ₹3,50,00,000

So, the company’s Total Assets would be ₹3,50,00,000. This represents the sum of all assets the company owns.
