The minimum number of NCDs an investor must apply for in a public issue. Applications below this quantity are not permitted.
Minimum Lot Size (NCD) refers to the minimum number of NCDs that an investor must apply for in a public issue. It represents the minimum investment requirement prescribed in the offer document.
Investors cannot apply for a quantity lower than the minimum lot size. After meeting the minimum application requirement, additional applications can generally be made in multiples of the specified lot size.
For example, if the issue specifies a minimum application of 10 NCDs (₹10,000) and 1 NCD thereafter, an investor must apply for at least 10 NCDs initially and can increase the application in multiples of 1 NCD.
The minimum lot size helps determine the minimum investment amount and ensures uniformity in the application and allotment process.
