Listing Date( Right Issue)

New shares or RE from a Rights Issue appear and are tradable on NSE or BSE.

The listing date of a rights issue is the day the newly issued shares are officially listed and begin trading on the stock exchange. Once listed, these new shares can be bought and sold by investors in the open market, just like the company's existing shares.

Significance for Investors:

  • The listing date provides liquidity—shareholders who participated in the rights issue can sell their new shares if they wish. Other investors can enter by purchasing them on the exchange.
  • It marks the completion of the rights issue process from announcement, entitlement, application, allotment, to ultimate trading.

Regulatory Disclosure:

  • The listing date is disclosed in exchange filings and communications to shareholders, ensuring transparency for both company participants and the broader investing public.
